Ulcerative Colitis Anyone?
by MariaEM at Citysearch
I was new to the state of TX, saw an article in a Flower Mound magazine about this business and how they had a state of the art procedure to get rid of acne. My son has a severe case of acne and so I made an appt. He went to this business approx 6 times to have a blue light treatment done. Two years later, he now has been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. I have been trying to contact this business to determine whether they used acutane (an acne medicine) on him during his treatments. Have had no luck.. Anyone else have uc?

Worst Establishment!...UNPROFESSIONAL, UNQUALIFIED, CROOKS
by christmylife at Citysearch
If I could rate this place as a Zero star I would. This is the worst establishment I have ever experienced. I have received treatments at the Dermacare in Valley Ranch for over 6months. The treatments I received left me with acne on my face and some scars. When I asked to see the dermatologist that they advertised about having on staff...lo and behold they don't have one. If that wasn't bad enough I prepaid for some treatments that I had not completed and they CLOSED their office without even a letter or a phone call to notify me. Since then I have called the Dermacare Corporate office and have been getting the run around. So far the only opinion I have of the establishment, the staff, and the doctor who owns the franchaise... Dr. Daniel P. McDonald is UNPROFESSIONAL, UNQUALIFIED, and .....CROOKS.... is that a strong word...well, let's see- I know i am not the only one who prepaid for services there. So basically they have collected money from a number of their clients for services they have not performed, shut down their clinic without a letter a phone call or even a way to contact them directly and kept the money....At this point in time I am highly agitated and disappointed. It seems that the Dermacare corporation will sell a franchaise to just about anyone. Because of this I will never recommend for anyone to go to any Dermacare office.
Consumer Alert!!! Update

If you are considering Dermacare then consider this. Dermacare is a large franchise and as a franchisee
Deracare Corp. IS NOT liable for any financial loss you may suffer as a result of a local branch closing it?s doors. This is exactly what happened to myself and hundreds of other existing patients of the Frisco and Valley Ranch store locations in Dallas, TX. Valley Ranch initially closed it?s doors first with no warning at all and supposedly transferred all patient records to the Frisco location. Frisco branch soon closed it?s doors several weeks later following in the footsteps of Valley Ranch. This left patients high and dry and out of big $$$. Make no mistake. I am posting my experience and encourage ANY former patients of these 2 stores to do the same. The internet is very powerful medium. I took the time to research Dermacare and now I am taking the time to post this message in all city search locations. This link is quickly available once you Google the NAME and LOCATION of the Dermacare in question. I have no doubt this will discourage people from making the same mistake I did and end up big money out of pocket that I cannot recover. I am currently working with my Credit Card bank to dispute the charge. Dermacare Corp. was working with existing patients of these locations promising they were looking for potential doctors to reopen the Frisco store and honor patient contracts. Dermacare now refuses to return phone calls and will not respond to emails. Buyer Beware!!!

I made an appointment thinking, I will see a dermatologist, but there was this young girl who was not even qulified but was selling products and treatments, told that these products are not available anywhere online. compared to the online prices they charge you more. No professional persons are available.
Not really recommended.
