Best Yoga Studio Period. I walked into American Power yoga in early February of this year with no knowledge of yoga and had no idea what to expect. Little did I know my lifestyle and health was about to change dramatically. The instructors there create classes that were easy to follow, clear, fun, and best of all welcoming. The more often I walked in the studio the more I uncovered the depths of who I was physically and spiritually. I can now say I am the healthiest and happiness I have been in my life. Each class allows for you to customize to your personal limits whether it is your first time or you have been practicing for 10 years. I am challenged every time I go and it never gets boring (unlike sunstone and Bikram). I have been to many other studios and they are not even comparable to APY. If you have the smallest desire to explore yoga CHECK APY OUT!!
Best Yoga in Dallas!!. This studio is great! I have practiced yoga for 8 years, all over the country and this is one of the best studios I have been to! and it is one of the cheapest!! All of the instructors are super friendly and they have their own styles but still maintain the message and strength of the class. I always feel like I get the class I need for the day. It is great for beginners too, all the classes offer modifications. They also have massage and acupuncture .
What happened to APY?. I am a APY member and could never stop raving about APY. For whatever reason, the APY instructors that I love have either left or significantly reduced their schedules. In their place are brand new APY trainees, some of whom have a lot of potential but are no means comparable to the instructors who have left. Now, everytime I look at the schedule, it is a brand new person teaching and generally a very BASIC class. I leave feeling like I overpaid, annoyed, and not relaxed. Please fix this problem or this APY member is going else where.
Changed my mind. This used to be a great community yoga studio, where you didn?t mind the sweat puddles on the floor or the ceiling falling down, because the person at the desk or the teacher knew your name. But now it is less about you and more about there bottom line: it is not cheap, the schedule changes too much, most classes are taught by novices, and there is a ?security? camera in the studio to monitor everything you do. Dallas has one of the best yoga communities in the world: great teachers, great spaces, challenging power yoga classes?don?t waste your time with a has-been studio like this where they really are not nice.
I cannot say enough great things about APY.. After visiting many of the local yoga studios before claiming a "home", I chose American Power Yoga to develop a practice because of the knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging instructors. APY's philosophy is demonstrated in each class: that each pose isn't bad or good, it just is. In learning to be accepting of where you are in a pose, you are taught to accept each of life's situations as well...that you can breathe through anything, that nothing is worth giving your breath away, to stay present, and to release expectation. Yes, APY provides an intense and powerful workout, but more importantly, the teachers provide an opportunity to understand a way of life, an ability to "let go", and an opportunity to open up to the moment. I highly recommend American Power Yoga, both professionally, as a licensed clinical psychologist, and personally.
Yoga for us. This is a very welcoming and non-intimidating studio: once I got up the courage to walk through the door, I never regretted it. The instructors are really knowledgeable and kind--they focus on both the physical and the mental parts of yoga, and never force you into poses or make you feel bad for not getting something "right". Other studios in Dallas made me feel like I had to join a sorority with a special language, poses, clothing and always made me feel like I wasn't good enough. Because the American Power Yoga teachers are so encouraging and respectful, I am able to relax more in class and not focus on trying to keep up and now I can do things I never thought possible! On and off the mat. Lots of classes everyday, and the studio is easy to get to with lots of parking, so no matter where my job takes me I can fit in a great butt-kicking workout almost everyday.
best Yoga in Dallas quite looking. Extremely Flexible class times, the best instructors in town, always encouraging and inviting, you always leave better than when you arrived, a great overall workout as well as a mind and body focus for your week.
Hands Down- BEST YOGA!. By FAR the best yoga studio with the most highly qualified and dedicated instructors. I respect the passion poured into this place in creating such high standards! I don't have time to waste on a bad class.....you'll NEVER leave disappointed at APY! You've only missed out if you haven't gone!!
THE ONE AND ONLY BEST YOGA STUDIO TO JOIN IN DALLAS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND APY!.
Before I experienced APY (American Power Yoga), I was basically yoga hopping.
When I found APY...I found my place!
After every APY class I feel great about myself both inside and out.
APY helps me bring life into perspective and gets my body fit and trim!
Thanks APY!
American Power Yoga. American Power Yoga is the best. The instructors are so respectful of the clients. Love it better than any yoga in my life. I've been practicing yoga for 20 years and APY gets a score of 100%.
