Best Seafood Ive had in a LONG time!!! – My husband and I visited Ralph and Kacoos last night and it was by far the best experience we have had in a long time. My husband and I started out with voodoo juice and blackened alligator that was cooked to perfection. Our waiter showed much knowledge regarding the menu and restaurant history. We were visited by all managers during the course of our meal. They were very attentive and polite to our table and that of their staff. Our main course came out, my husband ordered the feature of the evening, Tilapia supreme that was to die for. I on the other hand ordered the Crawfish festival. It had fried crawfish, crawfish etouffee, and a very rich crawfish bisque.. The portions are HUGE and well worth the money. I had to take home my delicious bread pudding dessert - I was so full.
Pre-judged by color. – My wife and I decided to give Ralp & Kacoo's a try after hearing how great things about the food, well we arrived about 6:30 on a Tuesday for dinner our greeting at the door should have been an clue to how the rest of the night would go. After walking in and what looks to be a manager of some sort an older white man in cowboy boots could be over heard using profanity in the kitchen area, we took offense to this. Getting to the food I order the Delta Double it was over cooked and too salty, my wife ordered the Cedar plank salmon and it had no seasoned what a surprise. It took close to 35 min to get our dinner which is unacceptable when they only had four cars in the parking lot. We over heard the employees talking about I bet they stiff you and thats why we don't like to wait on people of color. So all Afican Americans please do not dine here theres power in our dollar.
Avoid at all costs/Overpriced poor quality. – My wife and I went to this restaurant with high hopes and empty stomachs. We left with the hope that we never have to experience another place like this again. The food is drastically overpriced for the quality received. First things first. We ordered our drinks and appetizers at the same time. Appetizer (Stuffed Mushrooms). We get the appetizer 10 minutes into our meal along with our 1st set of drinks. 2nd our meal. I order the Cedar Plank Salmon and my wife the Mahi Mahi. We get them and they both have no taste. The sauce they put on both entree's are as bland as they come. Strange for a place calling themselves a Cajun restaurant. Well I returned the Salmon and requested the Seafood platter. Terrible idea. The soft shell crab on the entree was fried but on the inside I found a raw smelly rue-like juice porring out of it. Quite disturbing. Our first visit to this place is our last and hope this review saves you from choosing this poorly run knock off a chain restaurant.
