W has the best beds ever. The staff is pretty good, lots of great places to eat in the hotel and close to lots of good nightlife. Gets really pricy and some other hotels are opening up that are just as good if not better, but still a great option.

If you are reading this and are coming to Dallas just to get drunk and have poor customer service, this is the place to come. We can start off with how poor the clientel is. There were alot of people staying at The W for the Baylor vs. Arkansas basketball game at the AAC and when we came back it was like walking into a club with no security and a girl standing in the lobby tatooed up had the audacity to ask me in front of my parents if I am looking "for a friend tonight." This is not a joke there were two or three call girls in the lobby. In the elevator there were three guys cursing and fighting while there were two kids their motherm myself and my parents on the elevator. I had to put them in front of me to keep one of these guys doing something terrible. Also the elevator was looted with ciggarette butts. The room is nice if you like the "modern/contemperary" thing, but it really goes to the extreme. So if you are on the fence then do not go here. The Valet service charged me $20 to get my car and then charged me $25 on my bill. I have stayed at W's in San Fran and other places and this is far and away the worst. As a matter of fact I would have preffered a Holiday in over this. When I was looking for a place to put my parents I almost did not choose this hotel based on the reviews written here, but I made a huge mistake! The only good thing about the W was that it was a walk to the AAC. For $350 go get a suite at the Rennaisance or stay at the Adolphus.

I read a bunch of reviews about the hotel being snobby and stuck up before I stayed at the W this past weekend. I almost even changed hotels, but I'm so glad I didn't. I've stayed at W's in New York, Atlanta, San Diego, but this one is by far my favorite. The pool on the 16th floor overlooking Dallas is incredible. I was at the pool drinking some of their wonderful mojitos about to smoke my cigar that I brought with me, but I didn't have a lighter or cigar cutter. I called Whenever/Whatever and within 30mins they had someone bring both the lighter and cutter up to me while I was at the pool. Also, the living room (bar) down stairs was also wonderful. I made reservations to go to the Ghostbar online, but didn't end up making it up there. There was a line at the elevator just to get up to the bar. Overall, everything was wonderful and I highly recommend this hotel.
