Disappointed!!!!
by nytphantm
I went in to try out the introductory facial week of 4/12. I got ushered in to the back and was told I would fill out the form where you would specify needs and issues beforehand AFTER my facial. It ended up being more of a rough massage than a facial and the extractions were very painful. I walked out of there with greasy and sore feeling arms, shoulders, neck, scalp and my face was so oily and greasy from the massage oils that it irritated my eyes. I had to go home and have a shower just to wash the mess off!!
Later, I developed more soreness/stiffness in massage areas as well as bruises. I also developed redness and irritation at the extraction areas and I still have a mark on my face from the worst one. I tried to contact the store via their website email to let them know what happened and I wanted to give them another try. I wanted to discuss the issues (in writing, hence the email) and be assured if I tried again, I would not be so disappointed and *injured*. I even mentioned this was important as I was willing to pay full price to try again. I never received a response. In summation, avoid this place because they simply do not care about customer service and your comfort!
- Pros: The aesthetician was nice.
- Cons: Bruises, oily skin, left sore!!
Kristi is a good facialist, but bad customer service
by jvojvo
Kristi gives the best facials for the price in Dallas, but who knows how long she will be with The Facial Shoppe on Royal Lane. I say this because although I was a member for 2 years, the owner seems to have an issue keeping good massage therapists. The 2 therapists I liked both left due to not making enough money - apparently their pay is one of the lowest so it's difficult to keep good therapists. Also, the owner is not customer service oriented - more of an attitude of if you don't like it, leave. That's what I did. I left. - Jackie
P.S. One of the receptionists is also quite non customer oriented like the owner. She believes she can be ugly to customers without consequences as well.
- Pros: Kristi is a good facialist for the price
- Cons: The owner can't keep good massage therapists
$39 50 min. Facial. WOW!!!

You deal directly with the owners when you check in. It is a very comfotable and relaxed atmosphere, and every treatment room is 100% private. All of the Aestheticians are licensed and specialize in many different areas. Be sure to book in advance, although they do accept walk-in's. One feature I enjoy is their online booking system wich is found on their website thefacialshoppe. It allows you to book, cancel, or even modify you're appointment. Of course the think that sets The Facial Shoppe apart is the $39 facial!! You can read more about it on the website. One final thought. You can get facial waxing (lip, cheek, chin, and brow) along with peels at awesome rates also.
- Pros: Cost, Product, Service
- Cons: Peak Parking, No Massage Therapist
