Please Run the Other way. I worked closed by so my co-worker and I would order from this place alot. They give you large amounts of food so we would usually share our lunch. Well this one day (now keep in mind I'm 8 months pregnant at the time) we were eating the Combination rice and as we were eating we discovered a roach COOKED IN our food. I was sick to my stomach and had to vomit immediately. I called the restuarant to tell them about what happened and an asian lady answered the phone and said how could I says such a thing the chef is very upset.. REALLY?! I'm 8 months pregnant almost 9 and I almost ate a roach. I called the health department to file a report. Please RUN like the gingerbread man away from this place. It should ve been closed a long time ago.

Don't bother-90 minute delivery time. Food is decent but pickup if you can. 90 minute delivery time. Not worth it in my opinion. Too many other places around.

Health Dept Rating Alert. Be careful. This place got a "F" rating by the irving health dept in June 2011.

Nice family-owned restaurant. My family has been eating here for the last two years, and we've always enjoyed our meals. Prices are great. Quality is better than expected. Wonderful family run place to eat. I've never experienced any health concerns here before. Accidents happen. I remember I found a hair in my food at Cheesecake Factory but I forgave them. If it ever happens to me, I'm sure I'll forgive Hunan Dynasty, too, and go back.

Great food for many years. I ate at Hunan Dynasty yesterday and I wanted to say that the food is still as great as ever. I have been eating here off and on for many years, and I have never had a bad meal here. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced, always hot, and very tasty. I had the lunch portionof Chicken and Cashews with Wonton soup, fried rice, and a spring roll all for $7.25, and I could not eat the entire meal. This is the very best mom and pop resturant I have ever gone to, and I will continue to frequent in the future. I recommend this resturant very highly.

Health and Safety Issues. UPDATE: JUNE 21

The Irving Department of Health posted their latest inspection score for this place:

HUNAN DYNASTY 8150 N MACARTHUR BLVD #190 F NON-SMOKING 6/21/2011

That is an F - more than 40 demerits and requiring mandatory reinspection. Worse than "failing".

We were served a bowl of crispy noodles - the cold, crunchy noodles that you get on the tables of most Chinese restaurants.

We were disgusted to find, mixed in with the noodles, a fortune from someone's fortune cookie.

The fortune cookies at Hunan Dynasty are all sealed in plastic, which means that our food had been served to at least one other customer, who used it for table litter.

My wife and I both felt sick, queasy and disgusted after our meal - the chicken dumplings tasted 'off' - we both felt nauseous through the rest of the day.

We obviously will never visit this place again.

I've just searched the Irving Health department inspections reports, and Hunan Dynasty most recently recevied a "D" or failing rating. God knows what else they subjected me and my family to yesterday afternoon.

Absolutely disgusting.

Best Chinese food ever!!!!. Hunan Dynasty has been my favorite chinese restaurant for years now. Me and my family have been dining at the restaurant for almost 6 years , and the experience is always pleasant. Their food is not oily like most Chinese restaurant, which is what my family needs. The food is very tasty and the price is decent as well. To top off the great food,the service is also always excellent and the ambiance is perfect.Love being there!!!!

Wonderful and unique - Indo Chinese & Traditional. We love the unique menu, the Indo- Chinese cuisine is great! The traditional Chinese is awesome. This is one of the best in Dallas area. We have been to China many times and this is really a great experience to know Chinese food instead of Chung King Americano we have been led to believe is real. The Cilantro Cumin chicken is great and so is the Gen. Taos chicken, the Sesame chicken and the daily special is always a great change and very unique. We also like the Ambiance and views over the Valley Ranch. The wait staff needs training, but they are friendly and get the job done.

The BEST Chinese Food in Las Colinas, Valley Ranch, Irving!. I could not believe the quality and the taste of the food! Exceptional would be the word. The staff was very friendly and the service was outstanding. We loved the atmosphere and the view was awesome! I will certainly tell all my friends about Hunan Dynasty. They have a full bar and even have TV's you can watch if you want. A perfect evening, a perfect place. A must try for sure!
