In Short – Based out of Overland Kansas, Sheridan's 50s style small walk-up locations serve some of the best custards in the area in a variety of ways. The frozen treat is served as a sundae, a shake, a malt and even mixed together with fresh fruit in smoothie form. Not to be outdone, there are also a number of lattes and mochas at Sheridan's that have developed a stellar reputation of their own. Hot dogs are available on the tot-friendly kid's menu.

The Best Drive Thru Dessert

by friscobarkers at Citysearch

I have a family of four, and we love to get dessert after a great meal. But....we don't like having to get out of the car after a big meal to go into another restaurant and wait in another line. Sheridan's is perfect for a busy family. You can just drive up, make your selection and the service is fast and friendly. It's right on Preston Road in Frisco near the mall and lots of shopping. You HAVE to check this place out!

by janeerstwhile at Citysearch

tHEY JUST got outside seating and i was told new menu boards and a gourmet coffee and latte line is being launched after the July 4 event at the store!

This stuff is incredible, less fat than ice cream, and no hormones added!

I am in love with my Mocha Almond!!

  • Pros: best thing ever, outdoor seating, free kiddie/puppy cones, great owners
  • Cons: waiting for my product, but if it's that good, I'll wait

Better Than The Best Marble Slab

by utdtex at Citysearch

When looking for a tasty cold treat on a typical Texas summer day or night, I usually find myself at a Cold Stone Creamery or Marble Slab. That was untill my frind took me up to Sheridan's Frozen Custard in Frisco. I was skeptical about there only being two flavors (chocolate and vanilla), but when presented with a huge array of sweet flavors and toppings that are mixed in, I was sold!

The Staff seemed very informed about the custard making process and explained that frozen custard is made slightly warmer than icecream, thus making the flavor stand out better and easing the cold pains on my teeth. Sheridan's was really busy when I went up there on a Saturday night, but I was impressed with promptness of the staff with getting my treat out to me.

The decor was a nice touch, harkening back to the 1950's soda/icecream shop style which give a sense of cleanliness with all the white panels and uniforms. There's no outdoor seating however, which is probably for the best with the amount of people who go up there on the weekends.

  • Pros: Frozen Custard is tastier and easier to eat than IceCream, Service, Variety
  • Cons: No outdoor seating
