Dallas >Cowboy Cab Co
Terrible Experience-- Call Yellow Cab!.
I caught a Cowboy Cab Company driver outside of my hotel to take me to NorthPark Mall and initially had no problems. The driver was friendly enough but not very conversational, but got me to my destination quickly and the rate was reasonable. He gave me his card to arrange to be picked up when I was finished shopping.
I called a few hours later and waited outside the mall for the driver to arrive. I had a different driver this time and he arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I asked him to take me to the Saltgrass Steakhouse on LBJ Freeway close to my hotel so that I could arrange for the hotel shuttle to pick me up from there... being that that particular location is less than 2 miles away.
As I was en route to the steakhouse I received a call from a blocked number that turned out to be the cab company. The dispatcher on the other end of the line was very short and gruff and obviously angry. He said that he was waiting outside the mall for me. I responded that I was already almost to my destination. I knew that the cab I was in was from Cowboy Cab Company because I had made sure to double-check the side of the car before I got in.
He told me that I should have called to cancel my cab. I responded that I was in his cab and that I didn't understand what he meant. He hung up.
I disregarded the call and enjoyed my meal thoroughly at Saltgrass Steakhouse (that review to come next.) When I was finished I called the hotel shuttle and about 15 minutes later they called my cell phone and said that they had arrived but there was no shuttle outside of the restaurant. The driver had taken me to THE WRONG LOCATION and the restaurant I was at was out of my hotel shuttle's jurisdiction.
I called Cowboy Cab and the dispatcher seemed extremely disinterested in my concerns and insisted that I was at the correct location closest to my hotel. After a minute or so of banter and me giving her the address of the restaurant where I was located and the restaurant I was SUPPOSED to be at, she finally relinquished and said she would send another cab.
After waiting over forty minutes I called back and politely asked if she had an estimated time of arrival for the driver. She responded that she hadn't sent a driver and that she would send one now and only then did I really become livid.
The manager of the restaurant ended up calling a Yellow Cab that got me to my destination promptly.
All in all an awful experience and I would certainly not recommend this company to anyone. The dispatchers were rude and apathetic, very unorganized, and not professional in the least. Call Yellow Cab if you're in Dallas and want to actually arrive at your destination, Cowboy Cab Company most certainly leaves much to be desired.
Do NOT recomend, stay away.
Made a reservation a day in advance for 6:30 am. Dispatcher was totaly dis-interested, sound half asleep.
Driver was late, no appologies, I called the office twice to make sure he is coming, no appologies there either.
No GPS in the car, driver called me to ask for directions.
Car sounded like it's going to fall appart, screeching nioses and driver was accelerating and breaking like a maniac, I was not sure if we're going to make it to the airport in one piece.
Horrible Horrible service. I called 3 hours in advance to get a taxi and was told absolutely we will be there. At the scheduled time I called them to find out it had not been picked up and wait 10 minutes. In 10 minutes, no cab, told to wait 20, 45 minutes later I call yellow taxi who was fantastic and there in 10 minutes. I used to use cowboy cab weekly for airport trips and nights going out. I will never use them again, they are rude and completely not dependable.
BAD DRIVER. I was driving down the road cabbi was flicking me off, speeding swirving thru traffic. Then when i called to report him the company was stupid enough to tell him i was complaining while i was next to him... he proceeded to follow me to a parking lot and continued to curse me out with my child and other children in the car....I asked to speak to the manager there and was still ignored, left messages and no response
