Watch your pocket book!

by gmltwc at Citysearch

Admittedly, It has been a while since I have eaten here. I vowed to never return after the way I was treated the one time I went.

Food was OK, better than pretty much everything else in Quinlan but not cost to value priced (in other words, it wasn't "that" good). Service was not really all that great. Price was ridiculous.

I went during lunch and had the lasagna. The waitress asked me if I wanted some marinara sauce to go with my breadsticks. I said sure.

When I go to pay they charge me like 3 bucks for their little bowl of sauce. When I asked what the charge was for he told me it was for the sauce. I told him I had no idea it cost extra for the sauce and he said (pretty much) too bad for you now pay me.

The waitress never said a word about the extra cost for the sauce that goes with the bread sticks. She ask me as if it was complimentary. She treated me like I was bothering her and she had something better that she would rather be doing than working (probably meth).

Yeah, it's only three bucks but it's the principal of the whole thing. They took advantage of me and were glad to do it. They knew exactly what they were doing. My "lunch" with water, lasagna, marinara sauce, and free breadsticks ended up costing me like 12 bucks, from the lunch menu. Ridiculous!

I will never go back and recommend that if you do go that you watch your bill very carefully and ask if it costs for everything that they offer you, otherwise, you will be raped at the register without even so much as a thank you.

Yes, I still have a bad taste in my mouth from my visit there.

Incredible Italian Food & Steaks!

by ask me i know at Citysearch

If you're craving some terrific, authentic Italian food or a specially prepared steak, Luigi's is where you'll find it. It doesn't matter which location you go to, they're all the same. Good food, great service, and very reasonable prices. Everything is freshly prepared to order, so if you don't want exactly what's on the menu, just tell'em what you want. My faves are the chicken capellini and the white pizza. Oh, and let's not forget the most awesome salads and fresh baked bread you'll find anywhere.

  • Pros: Authenticity, food and service

Excellent Italian food

by jll7 at Citysearch

This other guy clearly came in wanting free food. Luigis, which i have eaten at on numerous occasions, has always had great food and managment. From pizza to spaghetti to lasagna and more, This place has it all and is well worth the drive. I used to drive all the way from lone oak to their location in rockwall, if I was craving italian. Dino, the manager, has always asked us how the food was and has been really polite. Overall i would give this place an A+ on great food, and managment.

  • Pros: Great food, managment, and prices

Rude Manager Sold Unacceptable Pizza

by anotherconsumer at Citysearch

I ordered the same as I always do...sausage, mushrooms, onions and black olives. After I paid $22.11 I opened to box just to make sure it was right. On top of the pizza was a huge amount of liquid. I asked Dino, the manager, "what's up with all of the water on top?" He began to argue with me while grabbing handfuls of vegetables, shaking them in his fist at me. He couldn't understand why I was upset over being sold soggy pizza with a gallon of water sitting on top? I grabbed the pizza and walked out, vowing to never return again! I get the pizza home, the water has soaked all the way through to the crust and even the box it came in is drenched. The box was so wet in some places that it began to tear. My family of five tried to eat the pizza but the crust was so soggy and gross that we could not. I still can not understand why Dino would argue about a product that was so clearly unacceptable. How could he let me walk out the door with a pizza in that condition? Want good Italian food? It's worth the drive to pass up Luigi's on your way to Johnny Carino's in Rockwall.

  • Pros: Really good food if properly prepared, waiters and waitresses have always been a pleasure
  • Cons: manager is rude and if food is not properly prepared..good luck on getting a replacement or a refund. It's not worth the stress for sure.
