The Kurtin Eye Center is located north of Dallas, serving Plano, Frisco, Allen & Mckinney. Dr. Kurtin is a very personable eye doctor who
enjoys caring for people of all ages whether it is for preventative reasons or treating glaucoma, infections, injuries, dry eyes or severe visual disorders.
The practice specializes in contact lens fitting for those with severe astigmatism, keratoconus or who need bifocals including LASIK and other patients who had eye surgery. He is certified, as required by the FDA, to prescribe contacts that corrects vision during sleep (DreamLens CRT). This also helps keep vision from changing, especially in children.

Great Service.
Here's what we do for people filling prescriptions here, especially when more choice, or prices come into question:
1. You can choose from over 100,000 frames, and virtually try them on. Go to our on-line optical store: www. opticaldirect. com
2. We match price for like items. The lenses we use for your prescription will typically be the newest Hi Definition Lens types giving the best possible vision.
3. We have the latest frames from non-discontinued vendors, many exclusive to the marketing area. We even make it easy for you to look through frame catalogs-- if you still cannot find that perfect frame.
4. We have real certified Opticians,trained in the proper fitting and filling of all prescriptions.. especially for very particular people.
5. We offer same day service.

Great Service But....... No doubt the service is grand but, the selection of frames is extremely poor in addition to low volume and the same old inventory. And.....the cost of frames and lenses are well above market.

Highly recommend. This is the kind of place you wish you would have gone first. I was told to go her from my internal medicine doctor for an eye exam. I have not been for a couple of years. Great staff, friendly and kind, no rush and Dr Kurtin was awesome. He did this 3 D vision thing and muscle test and told me it was probably causing my headaches. After 3 weeks of wearing my new glasses, my headaches are gone. I recommend this place highly, and also think you should get the extra services so you don't have to be dilated."

10 stars. I also got fitted with some real cool bifocal contact lenses- I've never been told about anywhere else. I like Kurtin and his staff, and will be recommending my family and friends.

Vision after surgery. Drove in from Houston area needing vision specialist after my cornea was messed up with surgery. Great to come to doctor who gets in, knows what he's doing, gives options and gets me seeing again, within about a week. Dr Kurtin is the seventh doctor I've been to, and hope he is my last. Highly recommend the drive to anyone with complication from cornea surgery.

i can 'see' why.... i read all the reviews i could find about all optometrists in dallas when i moved here. connecting with one that gets strait to fixing my vision right from the start is remarkable, after lousy experience with lasik giving me severe astigmatism. i can really see why most everyone gives dr kurtin 5 stars. i appreciate his experience and kind way of handling my issues, totally understands. by the way i did not get or want any gift card for this.

High service. I was very pleased with this clinic and quality of service. The staff is also very helpful. I tried a different contacts before and non of it worked good for me. Dr. Kurtin was able to find a good solution (SynergEyes lenses). He also explains information to patients. Thanks a lot! I highly recommend this doctor.

Excellent Eye Care in Plano!!!!. I was amazed at how FRIENDLY the whole staff is at The Kurtin Eye Care Center in Plano, Texas. No one was rude or seemed to be in a bad mood which can rub off on patrons. They are very on top of things in terms of eye care too! I have glocoma in my family and they are on top of my consistant eye care for keeping an eye on things. Also, both the optomotrists are very nice are on on top of their game with communication and professionalism.
