Best Dogs In Dallas!. After reading several reviews on this place we decided to give it a try. It was very easy to find and not too crowded for a Saturday at noon. The staff was very friendly and helpfull and the dining area was neat and clean. We tried the German Dog and the Dallas Dog. They were both excellent. Honestly I cant believe that a HOT DOG could be that good. And dont forget the fries. The Garlic fries with the Thai mayo couldnt have been any better. The prices were fine and the overall experience was great. I would highly recommend this for that good healthy dose of Dogs and Fries! We will be back.

Good hot dog,Love that Thai chile sauce. Great hot dog and the fries are off the hook. U must try the Thai chile sauce. Very nice poeple and a great little place to grab a bite to eat. I highly recommend Big D's. Good food at a good price.

Gotta try the 'Greenville Avenue Dog'!. These dogs are awesome! When I visit NY or Chicago, I always make time for a good hot dog. I never thought a place in Dallas could even compare, but this dog was far better. The bun was actually grilled which I totally love! The dog itself was a good size and delicious. My first bite had no toppings and tasted really great; I don't know what they do to the dog, but the flavor is definitely better than your average hot dog.

The Greenville avenue dog is my #1 recommendation. The chili was the awesome, spicy and homemade... I could tell. After the Greenville Avenue dog and Garlic fries (if you are going to eat these, for the love of god- take one of the free mints after! soooo yummy!) I was pretty full.

Great food, good music inside and all-round great addition to Greenville Ave!

Best Frank in Dallas!!!!!. Best Dogs in Town! You can go straight up classic or try one of Big D's wild creations.Staff is down to earth and friendly. And if your up late on weekends and need a snack they are open late,I think till 3 AM. They also have internet if you wanna Surf and Put back a dog or two. If you haven't been by you are missing out on this little gem

Anyway, back to the review. I noticed on the takeout menu that from 3-5pm was "dog day afternoon". This means that when you order a hot dog you will get a side order of fries for free! Loving a deal, I went for it. I never fathomed what I would receive in my to-go bag. These were without doubt the best fries I have had in Texas. I will liken them to a very similar fry made in the Chicagoland area by a establishment called Gene & Jude. My fellow Chicagoan will back me on this. These are hand cut fries and let me say you just have to try them. Now about the hot dogs. Although they didn't have a lot of good toppings, they were incredible and the way ALL hot dogs SHOULD be made. Both hot dog and bun were grilled. You don't find a lot of places these days who will take the time and energy to grill the hot dog and bun. Even Burger Street (who are supposed to grill their dog and bun) will get lazy and you'll get something barely toasted.
