Best Downtown Dallas Tex Mex. Awesome atmosphere and great drink specials during happy hour. Bartenders have been awesome like Tony & I think his brother Chris! Great personalities!

The food was excellant in this place. Reasonably priced for the standard of food received What really stood out for me was the excellant customer service we received from the bar staff. Helpful and nice beyond what was required. Keep up the good work!

Diner Beware. I typically do not write reviews but after my recent expericence here, I had to inform the masses of this place.

First off, let me tell you that I have known people who have gone here and said that the food and service were decent. This is the only reason that I choose to go here or else I would have went to Iron Cactus (now wishing that I would have).

When first entering the eatery, it looked relatively clean and wasn't really all that busy. Being it was a nice day, I asked to sit outside on the patio. The server was friendly and responsive, but that was about it. I felt that when I was ordering, he was not really paying attention to what I was ordering and come to find out, I was correct. Upon receiving the order, I found that my order wasn't correct and asked that it be returned. I will not hold that against anyone, as this can happen at any restaraunt. However, I will hold it against you when you get my order wrong on the SECOND time that it was made. I should have known better at that moment and just not eaten there, but decided that since it has been an hour since I was seated that I would just eat it and pick around what I didn't want since at that point I was starving. I relayed that it was incorrect the second time, but I just got a blank stare as if he didn't know what to do. I would think at that time, he would have gotten his manager. I did see him go over and talk with the manager, but I never once had any one other than the waiter talk to me.... and this also was after the fact that I let them know this was our first time there.

So fast forward 24 hours, and here I am still getting sick from their food. Being that this was the only thing I had to eat all day, I'm very confident that I was a victim of their kitchen's unkept ways. It started about 8 hours after dining there and I've been up non-stop "feeling the effects" of this meal. I contemplated going there and telling them this in person, but figured that if they couldn't be bothered to come and talk to me when I was there, why would they care after the fact.

Needless to say, I (and everyone I come into contact with) will never return here again. Considering that I work and live downtown, that is alot of business.

Nice Atmosphere - Friendly Service. Oh, so love giving 4 stars at a minimum on a review that is so favorable by others; but unable to do so here.

Love the atmosphere, the ambiance and surroundings. Beautiful place, great patio for good weather. Greeted and seated promptly in a most comfy booth by friendly host. From here on, I'll categorize our experience:

Drinks ordered and served promptly. One Miller Lite, and one top shelf marg. NO draft beer; not a good thing according to my BF, But, he survived with two more bottled beers. My top shelf was very weak; not much tequila or grand marnier @ $11.00 for a 12 oz mug. Disappointment. Did not order another.

I loved the thin crispy chips and the salsa.

Soft corn tortillas were very good; served with ice cold butter which tore the tortillas when trying to spread. Hey folks; SERVE ROOM TEMP butter with soft tortillas. This is a Mexican Restaurant requirement!

BF's chicken fajita salad was very good; nothing different or outstanding, but very edible. He said the balsamic & vinaigrette dressing was quite good. He left no morsels behind.

I had the "build your own combo", 3 items; a cheese and onion enchilada with chili con queso sauce; a beef tamale and a crispy beef taco with onions, served with rice and beans. A very large portion, huge plate. The enchilada was good, tasty...cheese sauce creamy. (But, NO onions as ordered) The tamale was good on the first bite, but then got a bite of tough, stringy, unchewable (is this really a word?) beef. No more of that. Loved the beef taco; meat was perfectly seasoned and spicy; lettuce and tomatoes fresh but, again, the chef forgot the onions. (Advised my server and he brought a side of freshly chopped onions. Problem solved) The refried beans were probably my favorite, very creamy, smokey, with cheese on top. No rice for me however, too much chili powder.

Service was a "10"; our server was friendly, courteous, professional and had a great sense of humor. Could have not been treated better.

I think I will go back; maybe try the Shrimp Enchiladas & ask the bartender "pretty please" to put some liquor in the top shelf marg, huh?

Best Hangout Spot In Dallas. My aunt and I stopped by this place to say hi to an old friend and ended up staying over 2 hours! The atmosphere is so inviting you don't ever feel like leaving. The drinks were amazing and the bartenders were very friendly. This is my new downtown spot without a shadow of a doubt!

One of the Best spots in Downtown. Although our Entertainment Book coupon wasn't honored, Sol Irlandes posted that on the door and marquee. Attentive staff, including the valet. Manager checked on us twice and the wait staff worked as a team to take care of ours and the neighboring tables' needs. Great food and drink at fair prices. We shared the Fish Taco Wrap and Acapulco Enchiladas. Best location on Main Street, too.

The BEST Mexican food and Happy hour downtown!. I live down the street from solirlandes Mexican restaurant downtown. I have been coming to this downtown mexican restaurant since they opened. The Ribs are AMAZING, the Mexican fish tacos are my lunch favorite and the margaritas at 3 dollars and the appetizers at 3 dollars during happy hour are unbeatable! Big portions, fair pricing and great service. Their patio is a great place to watch people when they get off work as well in the downtown area. Free chips and salsa every day too. They have a HUGE room upstairs with a private bar, pool table & fireplace that is PERFECT for parties. Call ahead for big parties and they can accommodate up to 150 upstairs. HUGE tv?s too for sports. Get your margarita, game day on! As you can see I really can't say enough about this fantastic mexican restaurant. Go now!
