Dallas >Clear Ultra Lounge
Cool Place....Over Priced!. I went to this Club with some friends for a B-Day party. Nice spot with a great crowd and room to move around. My friend had her tables reserved for a certain time and the Wait-Staff were late setting them up. That's a major no, no when you've spent the money you have too, to have anything there. I went to the bar to get my drink on before the wait-staff finished and was shocked to find out that the drinksare very, very over priced! This is a spot that you'll definitely need to get your drink on before you get there. DO NOT TRUST THE BAR TENDERS!!!! And do not use your credit cards here...many people have been ripped off at this spot. Want visit anytime soon, much better places in D-Town to get your party on and not be out of $60 for 2 drinks.....lol....that's crazy to me!! I only had to pay $10 to get in but will pay anything more than that!!
YET ANOTHER BAD REVIEW.........
Clear!!! One question...how much do you pay each puppet to post bogus raving reviews of your club? Check this..I'll right this bad one for free:) Dallas, TX , America please don't visit this club!!!!! Save your time, energy, and money for a more satisfying experience. Not that the Dallas Club Scene, could not already use a boost....This club makes this fact more CLEAR to all of us.
The door: This club is NOT worth $20. Economy is bad and no one is inside. The music...sucks ( for lack of a better phrase). No one is excited to be there (VERY little dancing).
The bar: Drinks are way over priced!!!!:( You will wait approximately 10-20 min to even place an order with the bar tender, then another 10-15 getting a drink. The 1st min will be spent making the drink and the other 9-14 waiting on the ice to melt down in the metal shaker. This diluted creation will then be charged to your card at twice the price. How do you add 30% gratuity to 1 drink, ordered by 1 person? RIP OFF!!! They are crooks, no joke. (the young dark-haired gentlemen facing the DJ booth is best at this shady practice) The VERY last time I was there I spent 85% of my time there circling the bar attempting to get a drink.
TIPS: If you must visit this lame excuse for a good time....1.Go DRUNK. DO NOT fall prey to their greedy, selfish, well trained to manipulate bar tenders. 2.Bring your own party . Don't trust them to have a good crowd...they won't. 3.Arrive as late as possible...still $20 bucks to get in. Atleast then other people MAY be there and you don't feel as if you wasted your WHOLE night:)
Your best bet, as a consumer in the financial crisis we face as Americans, is to simply pick another club worth the cash or just stay at home.
Very nice place to go with a group, Nice layout and enough room to move without constantly bumping into someone. I moved from Florida a while back, and was well recieved from staff and other patrons. Have been there for Birthday parties and VIP i believe now 5-6 times very nice, as well as just other nights just to go. My friend that took me does know the crowd so I wasn't bothered, and even greeted by the manager/owner and shook my hand as a man (not a flimsy handshake that leaves you wondering if the guy has any respect).
Everything here is almost perfect except for one little door boy and I use the term correctly BOY. He claims to be from vegas(i really could careless where is from, but everytime i have seen him he is drunk. I have been on a friday or saturday night and seen him, and he is drunk everytime, not very good for a greeter put him behind the bar as a barback or better yet he should be fired). Now my girlfriend works there and told me to just tell him I was on the "list" and if he said anything tell me i am here to see her. The little punk had the nerve to tell me she wasnt there and had went to a "hotel" and it would be 20 bucks to get in. I looked at him told him to F off (I should have drilled him but wouldnt put her in that position) so I called her she came up and got me and led me straight in. I havent been back since but of course I will have to since she is there.
What this does tell me as being a former bartender that no matter how great the rest of the staff/managment are, one bad experience can ruin a place especially with your door boy acting like a tool, douche, whatever you want to call it. If I had not been so well recieved by other employees and shown respect by others, I would have been left with a terrible taste. Dont judge this place on this one individual you will be able to tell who he is if you ever attend, however I definatly recommend if your new to the area or actually wanting to talk/meet others.
THE BEST OF THE BEST. I AM 29 YERS OLD I LIKE HAVEING FUN . I HERD THE CLEAR CLUB IS NICE I WONT TO GO BOUT THEN THY TOLD ME ITS MEMBER ANLY . I WELL TREE TO GO AGAN AF I COED
The best place in Dallas!. This is an amazing place... the best service, the best bartenders, and the best people in Dallas.... I had an amazing time at Clear, and recommend it to everyone!
Pretty good place. really beautiful women, drinks are a little too pricey though. Overall, my friends and I had a pretty good time and we would go there again.
horrible business. I had my birthday party at Clear and, like another reviewer mentioned, was WAY overcharged. My bill was overcharged by 150 dollars and was ran TWICE. (for a total of close to $1000) The bottle "service" (if you can call it that) was pathetic. $400 for a bottle and $6 per can of redbull. When I tried to contact Richard and Jonathan, my emails and calls were never returned. I had to dispute the charge through my bank. SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS!! That same night, one of my friends had 4 extra "liquor" drinks on her tab when she only drinks beer. She asked a different bartender about it, and was told that "that bartender likes to pad tabs." We had MUCH better bottle service at O Bar. I really like the music and atmosphere of Clear, but I absolutely refuse to go there again because of the horrible business practices of Richard. Members only? Yeah right.
Beautiful Club. you know..Clear is a beautiful club!! honestly the people aren't nice startin from the doormen..i mean i got in(even though im a guy) but i think it was luck according to what i heard afterwards..the music was pretty good im not gonna lie but the service was horrible at the bar! i do think there is definitely a racial barrier at this club..the women are beautiful but seem stuck up[ now i say seem because i dont know em outside the club]..oh and that guy is right! they do over-charge you on your bank statements someone needs to report that to the state or somethin cuz thats gotta be illegal!
This place looks nice but the people are not. This is a lounge meaning a place to serve but their customer service is horrible. The cocktail waitresses are slow and look like strippers. Ghost bar has much more classy looking ladies. They over charge you without notification. IF you ever go here look across the street to Mantus or Obar I promise a much more delightful time because you won't have to constantly count your drinks/ bottles. I would never get bottle service here again.. The VP or whatever has the worst management skills i have seen. I believe is Rich or something of that sort. Don't let him trick ya!
I recommend: Obar, Mantus, Fuse, Ghostbar, and Suite
Replusive Establishment. I am with a record label which consists of many distinguised clients. I would NEVER reccommend this establishemenet to any professional entities. The staff is rude and condescending. This club attempts to imitate the VIP clubs in LA and NY, and even Europe, but they are erroneous in their attempt. Our party refers to this place at the 25K millionaire's club. We had a hearty laugh at the feeble attempts to appear essential in the Dallas nightlife. Our business went to Ghostbar and Hotel ZaZa. If you are the sort to take pleasure in imitations, then this club is for you.
