This amazing Thai restaurant in Richardson hasTHE BEST Thai food in all of the dallas area! I usually get the Pad Kee Mow which is flat noodles with the basil and veggies, but today for thai food lunch, I ordered the f basil fired rice . It was fantastic! I can imagine this as a side dish as well for take out thai food. I am using my leftovers today ( the order is so large there is no way I can eat it all) for my dinner tonight. I think I'll make fish as a nice compliment to this thai restaurants fantastic basil rice dish. I highly recommened this restaurant.

upon entering, the restaurant seems too dark but once your eyes adjust you can appreciate the nice environment it creates along with the stone walls, inviting booths, and industrial decor. The menu is varied but not overwhelming with most dishes $10-$13. I had the Thai Basil which was delicious, the sauce pleasantly sweet with the Basil leaves giving a nice kick. Service is friendly, and even down to the details (attractive coasters and 2 kinds of mints) this place gets it right! Come early for lunch, this place gets crowded in a hurry.

I went to Sawadika for the first time this Wednesday for lunch. I was impressed from the second I walked in the door. The restaurant is located in a strip center near Luby's and Great Outdoors... Definitely a hole in the wall but those are usually the best ones... ;) The decor was nice... somewhat modern with a lot of dark wood and the perfect accents that give a good color pop and infuse tidbit of the culture... I would be very pleased if a guy knew I liked Thai food and introduced me to this jewel! I had the Thai Basil Chicken lunch special and it came with a bowl of their Tom Yum Gai (I think that was what it was) and it was a perfect start to the meal... Had just the right amount of spice... The entree (lunch portion) came out and it was enough to feed me for at least two more meals... Got it medium spicy and it was perfect... I think that they may have ordered it mild for me though since the bartender noticed I drank about 2 glasses of water with the soup... ;) Soo the food was great, the atmosphere was cozy and modern, but the service is what really impressed me... My glass of water never got empty which was nice, but that's not what really put this place over the top... Right when I was about to check out the girl next to me asked about the music that was playing and if it was a CD because she really liked the mix... The lady behind the bar replied that she burnt it herself and thank you.... THEN she offered to make her a copy and would keep it behind bar for next time she came in... It's awesome to run into that great of customer service and sadly its hard to come by anymore... Genuine people that go above and beyond for the customer.... Will definitely be back.... SOOON!
