Amazing Food but So-So Service. After purchasing a groupon for this restaurant, my husband and I decided to try it out. First experience was so-so due to a long wait (even with reservation) AND slow slow service. The atmosphere here is quite romantic I must say and the bar is a good waiting area.

After being seated, everything went well however, the waitress was terrible at refilling my water and at the time I was pregnant so I needed refills. I was left sitting with my water empty for over 15 minutes and finally had to drink my husband's water. The food on the other hand was worth the crummy first experience service. We started off with bread (delicious and warm) and the Calamari e Fritti which was crispy and fresh. Our entree's were fabulous. I ordered the Tagliata Toscano and my husband had the Bianca pizza. The beef in the Tagliata Toscano was so tender and seasoned to perfection. My mouth is watering just thinking of it. I tried a bite of my husband's pizza and the onions were so sweet and full of flavor. The dessert is my favorite part of this restaurant. We devoured the Budina al Carmello - Vanilla. OH MY GOODNESS! One of the best desserts ever. I am a dessert buff and really appreciate a delicious dessert. My husband and I have been here a couple of times now. The second time was absolutely perfect. After making our reservation, we were seated within 5 minutes (BTW - Highly encourage you make a reservation otherwise you will wait over 30 minutes) and treated like celebrities. The waiter was awesome throughout the evening and he even threw in one of the desserts for free! I can't remember what I ordered that trip but it must have been good since I can't wait to return. The dessert this time was the Budina al Carmello - Chocolate AND Vanilla lol. Both AMAZING but I prefer the vanilla. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening or just for an affordable delicious meal!

I loved it!. I took my Mother there for Mother's Day weekend. She had the filet with a red wine sauce and she was IN LOVE! I had the gnocchi. It was like pasta pillows. We are Italian so we know good food when we eat it. ;-) The gnocchi's are so tender you can tell they are homemade. Delish!

The only criticism was my Caesar Salad hardly had any dressing on it...it was pretty dry. I could have asked for more dressing but we had already had the crab cake appetizer and was just waiting for the main course. I will definitely be back. Yum!

Dang that is some good Italian food.... My quest for Italian food in the Dallas Metroplex is finely over! As a NY Italian living in Dallas, I have been repeatedly dissapointed in the Italian food that this fine city has put forth. But no more!

If the likes of Macaroni Grill, Maggiano's, and Nicolas (yes that one) appeal to you - Then Isabella's is clearly not the place.

Isabella's creates food similar to Mario Batali's style. They take traditional homestyle dishes and elevate them to incorporate modern technique. The food has a personality that reflects the efforts of the chef.

My Current favorite - Gamberi Con Aurora - This dish is a traditional shrimp and Pasta dish - yet at Isabella's they throw in red pepper to give it a zing. I order it extra spicy with chicken - a testament to the restaurants ability to get off menu and please it's cutomer.

I am also a huge fan of the semi-fredo (pistachio) dessert - which this Italian has never heard of! It is somewhere between an Ice cream and a flan - I think!!! I learned on my last visit that for special guests - they sometimes have other flavors in the back - Hope for the Dark Chocolate one!

The cheesecake is also a great dessert - again if you want food like some of the aforementioned Restaurants - this is NOT the dessert for you. True italian desserts tend to lean towards the Savory style - not the sweet. The Cheesecake at Isabella's nails the balance just right - sweet enough to be a dessert but not so sweet that you can't enjoy or taste your cordial or espresso...

Isabella's - for now- is my favorite Italian Restaurant

Perfect for weddings. This is by far the best place to get a full service wedding ceremony, wedding reception, wedding party in the metroplex. Located in Frisco on the back side of Legacy commons ( near the Westin hotel ) this Italian restaurant is a hidden Wedding event gem of a secret. You need to start booking now, because for wedding events Isabella’s is by far the Best wedding celebration I have been to. Fantastic Italian food, a Tuscany look and feel, no wedding planner ( or charges) needed and you can have the WHOLE restaurant including the fountain area if needed for a ceremonial celebration. Call now for your wedding or your wedding reception, they are booking for the Fall and filling up fast.
