The Scene – Surrounded by sound, black cocktail tables separate the band from the bar in this loft-like space. Ocher red brick and black dominate the decor and exposed roof rafters set the informal mood for bebop, jazz, reggae and soul performers. Two full-service bars, widescreen TVs, and a billiards room add to the entertainment possibilities. – – The Food – The sandwich menu has the old standards like Monte Cristo and fried catfish, while the dinner menu has more unique offerings such as seafood lasagna and mango-glazed stuffed pork chop. The grilled salmon dinner…

I called and reserved dinner for 20 plus people for my birthday celebration. The reservation was from 8 to 10. When I arrived at the restaurant only a few of my guest had arrived. The table they seated me and my guest at was a table for 10 people. They stated that since all of my party was not there at 8:00PM that they would only provide us with one table. Mind you I sent my sister and 3 friends ahead so that someone would be there on time to confirm our reservation at 8. They were seated and were told the same thing about the seating. I got there about 8:20pm and I was horrified. To see that I had invited all of these people out for dinner and to listen to a band and it wasn?t happening. The wait staff was very rude. When my guest placed their dinner orders, they were reminded by the wait staff, about having to release their seats at 10pm. It was embarrassing! They actually came over to the table at 9:50 and said the next party is here.
- Pros: The downtown, the urban feel is cool!
- Cons: The service staff and the parking
Horrible Customer Service

My girlfriends and I went to Brooklyn on a Saturday night. We did not make reservations, because their website states that they do not take reservations for small parties. When one of my friends got there, the host sat her at a table and told her we would have to move at 10, because it was reserved at that time. When we got there, we told the host that we wanted to stay past 10 and asked if there was another table where we could sit and stay later. He told us that he did have a table, so we moved there. At a few minutes before 10, one of the people in our party asked for her check. The waitress brought all of our checks. When we asked the her if we needed to pay and start a new tab, she told us that the host had told her to bring all of our checks because our table was reserved at 10. He told us that there was another seating at 10. However, no one else around us was asked to leave their talbes. We asked to have him come over, and he told us we had to get up. We asked to speak with the owner. We told him our story, and he, too, told us we had to get up. We sat there and finished our drinks. The host came by and told us that the people who had reserved the table were there, and we needed to get up. We got up and stood against the wall for another 30 minutes before anyone came to sit at the table. Every other table in the restaurant had a reserved sign, except the one we were sitting at. My friends and I each spent $40-50 and were going to continue to drink, spending even more than that. The host was rude, and the owner was even more rude. As we left, I said to the host, "Thank you for ruining the only girls' night out we have had in 2 years." To which he replied, "You're welcome."
