Yummy Thai food. Food is always good and tasty, but the service isn't always there. The Pad Thai is spiced well and has great flavor. The Pad Thai is enough to feed me for two meals which is great.
Great place for lunch!. My co- workers and I go to Samui for lunch at least 2 times a week. They have great lunch specials at about$8.95 with so much to choose from. I usually get Pad Kee Mow. It seems like their staff really knows all their regular customers. It's always consistent and fast. Most of the time they are on a wait that's why I choose to eat at the bar. I never even have to order, the manager always takes knows our order as soon as we walk in. It's like that with almost everyone else who walks up to eat or order take out. I would definitely recommend anyone to eat there. Come early at lunch though.
Keep Walking.
We walked into Samui on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is beautiful with tons of natural light shining through the windows. The Shops were packed, but Samui was dead. The hostess was bored, for reasons of no one to greet. We were seated promptly and were handed stained menus. The calamari was fishy and was sent back and replaced with fried vegetable spring rolls with a greasy peanut sauce. So far everything was a disappointment. We were putting our hopes in the Pad Tai and Pepper Steak. The Pad Tai had a decent flavor but the noodles were completely over cooked. The Pepper Steak was good, but nothing special. The food and two glasses of wine was over $50. I felt robbed!
With so many restaurants in walking distance, keep walking past Samui. If you're craving Asian flavors try Naan, or if you're craving Thai make the trip to Mint in Dallas.
I'm sorry that you felt that way about our restaurant. We always strive to make sure that the quality of our food is to the highest standards. We have recently changed our calamari because of complaints about it. The new product is a lot better. So thank you for the feedback. The sunshine rolls are not served with peanut sauce so I don't know how to respond to that, but our peanut sauce is usually creamy. I'm sorry if you felt robbed, but prices are listed for all appetizers, entrees, sides, and wine, so that way customers will know how much they are spending.
Editorial Review. Samui Thai cuisine in Plano, serves delicious authentic Thai food.
Great Food, Great Service. For a sort of casual dinning experience with four star quality cuisine. Samui is a great place to meet up with friends, and the service is always friendly.
