YUCK!!!!!!.
My cat's feces smell and probably taste better than Amato's Pizza. The food is disgusting, the prices are outrageous and the wait time is ridiculous.

poor quality.
I am a pizza connoisseur, and i really love new york style. Amato's pizza is TERRIBLE! anyone who says they know NY style and thinks Amato's is actually good needs to go ahead and venture outside of McKinney, TX. canned ingredients and soggy pizza = take me to CiCi's instead where the quality is at least 5 steps ahead of Amato's. oh and beware, the prices on your ticket will be higher than what's listed on their menu.
Oh, complained to the manager and owner. no response and no refund for the overcharge

Not very good.
The veal Marsala was terrible. The Linguine and clam sauce was watery and way to salty. My side dish of spaghetti had sauce on it that tasted like ketchup. This place didn't even have sangria on their wine list. The only thing Italian about this place is the name.
I did have Pizza there once and it was alright. Ski Daddy, another reviewer stated it was almost as good as pizza that he had in New York. I found that NOT to be the case, not even close.

Out of control kids - noisy, slow, bad food.
We went there for my fiance's birthday and what a disappointment. There were two parties with kids around 8 or 9 years old (old enough to behave) and they were chasing each other around the tables running into our waitress almost knocking her down. The adults were standing around as if nothing was wrong...atmosphere - stressful even though i like kids! now to the food...first it took 45 minutes to get it and the linguini with clam sauce, err, clam water was terrible, it was salty and the clams were like rubber. The spaghetti sauce was no more than a can of tomato sauce and the veal was tiny and bland for the 16.99 price tag. too bad because i like small intimate restaurants. And to the people with the kids..next time take them to chuck e. cheese.
