32.954018 -96.829379Best doner in Dallas area. My husband and I were disappointed to find this place closed down. We found out the guy that cooked for Selims has his own small resturant within Shandiz Specialty Foods in Plano off of Coit and Parker. Truly same great doner (minus the fries) and great price at only $4.99. The baklava is outstanding, homemade by his wife (a chef at Cafe Istanbul.) Our only concern now is that he gets enough business to last... So go check it out, you will not be disappointed. His place is inside the grocery store. Their address is 4013 W. Parker Rd #230 and their phone # is 972-943-8885. They don't have a website... I promise, same great taste and great quality!!!!!!!
Great Doner AKA Gyro.
Food is amazing. Best Gyro I had in years.
This is not your typical Greek Gyro place.
You have to try this meat. Try the Turkish Gyro/Doner
I recommend the Doner Wrap (beef) or the Turkish Plate # 1.
glad it's there. Having grown up in Germany I came to be ADDICTED to Döners. They are absolutely WONDERFUL: imagine a "gyro 2.0" and that is pretty much it. Unfortunately, here in the U.S. there are very few Döner Places, so I was very happy to see one open here in the Metroplex. Here is my honest assessment: If this place was in Germany next to all the other Döner places it would not stand a chance, because I can think of about 25 place I would rather eat at. Since it is the only place here, I am happy because I can get a quick fix anytime I feel like it and I don't have to wait until the summer when I usually get a chance to go back to the homeland...
Best Doner Kebap sandwich in town. This is the turkish version of a Greek Gyros. Excellent Meat (Chicken or Veal), outstanding taste. All fresh prepared ingredients. They even have German Schnitzel, A great Salad at your liking and great prices. This is the "original" you may also see all over Germany. Highly recommended.
Just ok fast food Turkish. Their food is ok but I'm not sure if it's Turkish or not. They have spaghetti, schnitzel, and gyros. For a quick bite to eat it's not bad, but I've had much better elsewhere.
