I was impressed.. My husband and I found this place while walking through the neighborhood. We stopped in and from the beginning had exceptional, personal service. The staff was conversational and was happy to recommend drink and food that they enjoyed. The food was truly exceptional. The restaurant stayed open later than usual to accommodate a large party of 9 on a weeknight, and they were gracious every moment we were there. The patio is fantastic and the dining room is warm and sensual. I have been 4 times this month, and everything I have ordered has been exceptional. I highly recommend!
amazing find!. Stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch while in Deep Ellum. Unfortunately I missed the lunch buffet that offered an aray of selections from the menu, but decided to stay anyways. I am glad I did. I had the gyro platter that was piled high with tender tasty lamb. The hummus was also great: garlicy and smooth. The owner offered a dish of eggplant that was amazing. The atmosphere was great! The dark wood and ambient music along with the friendly staff are comforting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quaint little getaway.
Serving up traditional Turkish fare in a romantic setting complete with an outdoor patio..
Hospitable staff welcomes diners like relatives at this family-owned kebab and gyros house. Photos of their home city of Istanbul and copper kitchen accoutrements scatter along the open-brick walls in the main dining room. A second, more intimate room is decorated in Bedouin style with flowing fabrics hanging from above. The patio outside is a serene space for hookah smoking under the stars. Fresh pitas, colorful salads and tender kebabs and gyros are all homemade.

Great food, good prices and relaxing atmosphere. This was such an excellent find! It's in Deep Ellum and was easy to get a table on a Saturday night. If this place was in uptown it'd be packed with a line out the door. Think Cafe Izmir without the cramped quarters, long waits and ridiculous prices. The hummus is fantastic and we got the mixed grill so we got to try a lot of different things. More than enough for two people and everything was well seasoned and well cooked. They have a good wine list with some very affordable choices if you are looking for that. The staff were all very friendly and it didn't feel like a corporate-owned restaurant that you typically find in uptown. It's the type of place that is good for a leisurely meal. Get dessert and try the Turkish coffee. We'll definitely be back.
The best if you are a vegitarian as well. You have to see this place to really understand how great it is. He has a buy one get one free lunch special right now that you need to try. Look for a coupon on citysearch. It's a fantastic place and fantastic food!
OK food. The food was not the best and the place was stuffy. I know Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food and was disappointed. Service was very nice but slow.
Cozy athmospehere and great food!.
Well, I am from Bulgaria, which is next to Turkey, and since there is no Bulgarian restaurant in DFW, I decided to try this new place with the closest to Bulgarian food - Turkish food.
The place is very authentic. The atmosphere is very cozy with 2 separate rooms and a patio decorated in Turkish style, the food is great, and it's not expensive at all! I will definately go there again.
great food, great prices, wonderful atmosphere!. We had read about this new place and so tried it out this past Saturday night! The atmosphere was nice, tidy kinda small. But we didn't see their backroom or patio which looked nice from where we were...We had lamb and beef kabobs with falafel appetizer. Everything was incredible! the falafel was very nice, not overspiced or greasy...accompanying hummus was very well made- I haven't always liked hummus before! and the meals were wonderful! the beef was seasoned nicely, very thinly sliced and incredibly tender..the lamb was perfect! and the warm pitas and oil were even good! We're very glad we found it and will make this a regular spot! Prices were very good, and neither of us could finish our meals the portions were very generous!
Find this hidden treasure before everybody does!.
Spectacular Food
We went to grab lunch and came back for dinner a couple of days later. This is a hidden treasure in the Downtown. You should see the prices!! so affordable for that cuisine. I had the mussels as appetizer, grilled salmon for entree. My husband had the Adana Kebab. It was fantastic, everything is tasty without a overload of condiments. The owner came to our table and asked us about our experience. Will definitively come back.
