Editorial Review for LIFT Lounge – by Jeff Speicher
In Short
This sleek club experience starts with a quick "lift" ride up to the second floor, enhancing the exclusive feel of this comfortable Uptown ultra-lounge. Smooth see-and-be-seen trend setters hover about the the long, contoured bar with an intrepid mix of orange with earth tones behind it. Too important for the main area, small groups retreat to one of a number of semi-private cabanas that are cordoned off with thin, cascading veils.

We were in town for business and just happen to find Lift through the CitySearch website, what a great time. The DJ was from San Francisco and he was one of the best I have heard. The atmosphere, service and drinks were the best we have experienced anywhere lately in the country. What a great place to dance and unwind for an evening. Highly recommended!
Pros: Non Smoking, Great looking people.
Cons: None

Ok I wasn't aware of this men gotta be 25 or 26+ gender gap since...well since no other place does that lame sh!t. I'm 22 btw. BUT!! I still got in on a Saturday night. As I said I wasn't aware of this age restriction UNTIL I got inside the club and was doing my talking to girls and 4 girls were like, "How did you get in??" and I was like, "What you talking about? I'm not freaking 18." Then they told me about the age restriction but obviously I was in and that's all that counted. Now onto the review. The music was good EXCEPT the D.J. repeated songs and that's a big no-no for DJs. You cannot repeat songs!! So obviously he didn't have enough music at his repertoire so that was kinda lame. The staff is nice though, I forgot my jacket, hat, and scarf at coat check and on my way out the manager dude ran after me to give it back which I thought was very nice of him. The people in there are cool but then again I was there for a friends birthday. It did look like it's usual gold-digging women though especially because of the age gap for men and women; one can only assume that is the case. Bunch of old 30 year old guys trying to pick up 21 year old girls or even the other way around, haha. But ya, overall not a bad place; no cover btw. And for those who are real uptight about racism or whatever, there wasn't any at all....it's a mixed crowd and I'm not white; I didn't receive any racism.
Pros: good service, decent music, no cover
Cons: shady age limits for guys, repeated music
