Really wanted to like it.... This quaint and modern-decored, quickie restaurant had slow and awkward service. The j*rk chicken was tougher than it should have been compared to other international restaurants we've visited, serving the same flair. Although the seasonings were right on, it almost tasted like last night's left overs microwaved too long. My friend's salad was a sad, bland presentation. We really wanted to like this place but it just didn't deliver.

Wow! I ordered one of the Smoked, Jerked Turkeys for Thanksgiving and it was fantastic!. They had a coupon on Citysearch for free sauce with the order of a Holiday Turkey and so I thought I?d give it a try. It was fantastic! I thought I would have leftovers because the family claimed they didn?t like that kind of turkey when I ordered it and then when they tried it, I could not keep them away from MY turkey! ( big smile) . Needless to say the food here is fantastic! If she offers another Holiday bird I HIGHLY RECCOMMENED you try one! FANTASTIC!

Amazing food and service. Try them today! I actually ordered a turkey for the holiday this year from them . They are offering to smoke and j e r k them for 3.50 a pound. VERY COOL. The owner was very nice and I really enjoyed meeting her. She is Legendary in Dallas for her chicken and Turkey legs at the state fair. The service was fantastic and so was the food. It?s set up like a real Caribbean j e r k shack with a simple table and chair area. Insider tip : Ask Jan ( the owner) if you can buy her sauce? she may say yes :)

Good Breast, Best to go on Sundays, Good service but...... The Breast Dinner is good; but the owner will talk to you forever making your dinner a dissaster. She will talk to no matter how many people or at your table about personal stuff. Frankly the owner should not be there I saw that other people were upset and a person next to me asked me if she will ever stop talking. The service is grade A they make it and bring it and focus on the customers. I may eat there only on Saturdays and Sundays but it is worth it. All in all if you like to try something new you should try the food; just make sure the nice old lady isn't their. She African-American,light skineded, and is mostly and the front. I really want to give this place a 2 1/2 but, I will give it a 2 the owner brought it down.

I appreciate your business and I am sorry that you were offended in any way when you were a guest at my restaurant. I tend to "chit-chat"with my customers on occasion. I am glad that you appreciat the food and I am sure you will continue.are you the fat overweight guy who lives in our building?

Great Place ! I can Now get the Je. rk Chicken from the Fair Year round!. Did YOU know that this is the Original Turkey leg/ Je. rkChicken Place from the Texas Fair? Jan has had a booth out at the Fair for 11 years and finally opened up a restaurant so we can ALL get her food year round. Her location is in the South Side on Lamar Building and has an Island Feel with original artwork and a true Caribbean set up. Go today and see for yourself. Top notch!

Inconsistent Food & Rude Staff. The food is inconsistent. Sometimes it's actually good and other times it's under/over cooked. The entrees are served with the cheapest styrofoam plates and plastic utensils known to man! The service is slow and served with an MAJOR attitude! The chairs remind me of something I sat on in kindergarten. Cool location and art on the walls but I would NOT recommend this place!

I am amazed that you have visited my restaurant enough to ascertain the "irregular" temp. of the food. If I were not satisfied with the restaurant,it would not take several visits for me to express my distain for the restaurant. You should use your "hater"energy to improve the quality and flavor of your restaurant.

Peace and Blessings

Editorial Review. Southern restaurant takes its patron's taste buds on an authentic island adventure with Carribean specialties.
