"NO BLACK PEOPLE ALLOWED". Lotus Lounge should put up a "NO COLORED PEOPLE ALLOWED" sign in front of this establishment. We went to celebrate a friend?s birthday. Two decently dressed/looking black couples no loud mouth or any of that stereotypical crap. The queue stopped moving when we got to the door. The owner comes out and gives us some crappy excuse about how it has reached capacity and there is no more room, we decided to wait since some people are bound to come out right?

The owner noting our decision to wait decides to go to the back of the line and start escorting the Caucasian patrons behind us inside the club one by one. When i inquired why was this happening he stated they were on the list. He had no list with him. We stood there for about 20 minutes soaking in the embarrassment of being denied entry because of our skin color. The line was not getting longer and the manager was getting agitated because we had found out what he was doing and he was embarrassed to continue.

We decided to look for an alternative party location because who wants to be in a place where nobody wants you there. As soon as we leave, i look back and the line started moving and the line was gone in ten minutes. I guess they finally found some hidden space inside.

The worst part is that none of the patrons said anything, they just look at us like we were some aliens who had invaded their territory and they did not know what to do with us. I guess we should have known better. IF YOU ARE BLACK STAY AWAY save yourself the embarrassment. In a way i feel like i am also doing the owner a favor but hey at least now you know what to expect.

Uptown Needs to Be Better. I live a block from Lotus. It should be a fun and welcoming hot spot in Uptown. I'm appalled by the reviews of this place. I hope the owner wises up. You don't last long in Dallas unless you are a quality place and it sounds like you're missing the mark on everything. I'd like to be proud of this area - we have to be inclusive as much as possible. That fake bouncer thing is so 80's, and I remember the 80's. Shame on you.

I will NEVER go back!. Awful experience every time ive gone! This place sucks! The Bartenders are rude the people inside are rude. Typical 30,000 dollar a year WANNA BE millionaires! Pathetic. Staff is incompetent and the "owner" is a short d-bag that thinks hes cool, and he is completely delusional to the fact that his place SUCKS and it will never be as good as Aura, Idle Rich or Blackfriar.

Horrible Douchebag doorman. The doorman knew that half our group was already in and kept the other half outside ON PURPOSE to try to get us to pay him to let them in. I dont know if this is how doormen earn a little extra pocket money b/c they have such pathetic day jobs and are lowlife losers, but the owner of this bar needs to tell their employees to quit ripping off their patrons. Listen UP LOTUS BAR OWNER- if you want to continue to stay in business, you need to fire all these douchebag doormen and start treating your patrons right!!!!! dont go here unless you dont mind havng to slip the shadyass doorman a $50 just to get in!

Unethical Business Practices. This business employs individuals that owe child support for children - but does not report the new hires to the state as required by law. They should be investigated by the state and fined for each pay period that they have not withheld the garnishment for. Unethical business practices by ownership can only lead to unethical and unprofessional service for the customers. People spending their hard earned money here and tipping employees should think that their server may have children somewhere that are not receiving what they should. And because they earn cash - they think it can be hidden from the state attorney general.

WORST BAR/CLUB in DALLAS. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. So a group of us tried to get in on a Saturday night around 11:00p. No line and the place was empty by view of their patio lounge. Bouncer "I gotta a tootsie roll penasuar" said club is full and wouldn't let us in. While the rest of our party was discussing where to go next, the bouncer proceeded to let 15 ppl in while we were waiting on the street corner. That my friends is pure dumbness. For lack of a better term. Would never go back. Look at the amount of <negative> reviews. This club puts the city of Dallas to shame.

Worst lounge in Dallas. Bad service, tasteless music,. So, this review is going to fall in line with all the other reviews. I frequent clubs/lounges/bars in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and New York, and this is by far the worst I have come across. Doormen were unprofessional and rude. They talked down to me, cursed at my girlfriend, and was just plain insulting to my closest friends. For no good reason, the doorman did not let one of my friends in, so she was standing outside in the cold by herself for 15 minutes until we could do something. What we did was close our tab and leave.

That retro music on Friday? Horrible. I have heard better mixes on the oldies radio station.

Our server was nice, but other than that, don't waste your time here. Let those $25,000 Dallas millionaires throw their money away on a sub-par lounge.

LOTUS!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! HORRIBLE!!! DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!. HORRIBLE!!! Waited in line for 20 minutes and was next to get get in only after 3 large groups of doushbags arrived they were immediately granted in the club! So I left! Waste of my time! Horrible business ethics! Gives Dallas a bad name! DO NOT GO HERE OR WASTE YOUR TIME!! HEEEELLO LOTUS OWNERS WAKE - UP! YOUR CLUB SUX AND HALF OF DALLAS IS STARTIN TO RELAIZE THIS!!!!! Get your SH*T together and treat ppl the right way it might earn you some respectful business!!!

THE WORST BAR IN DALLAS!!. This is the worst bar I have ever been to. The guy at the door REALLY needs to get a life. I would never tell anyone to go here! This place gives Dallas a HORRIBLE name! Anyone giving this place 4 and 5 stars HAS GOT to be fake, or written by the guy at the door. AWFUL!
