Best Indian food in Frisco. My wife and I were in the Frisco area over the weekend. We wanted to try some Indian food. I used my blackberry and got a couple of hits. When we went looking for India house we found out that the restaurant is now called Tantra.

I was greatly satisfied with the authentic food that I was served. I have traveled to India several times for work and found out that this place came very close to the food I had in Bangalore. The manager was very courteous and he explained the menu well. Tantra has items that coverall your taste buds. My wife is not as seasoned as I am with Indian spices and they had a tandoori mixed grill which was top of the class. She was very pleased with that dish. Needless to say that I was very satisfied with food. I highly recommend this restaurant to any one who wished to try authentic Indian cuisine. For those who wish to not try authentic type of dishes they have nice mixed tandoori grilled items. Very Nice!!!

Now called Tantra - Worth a 2nd Try!!. Now called Tantra, this Indian restaurant has completed a renovation to add a lounge and dj corner. Our first visit to Tantra was a let down. The teenage waiter had no knowledge of the menu - the manager had to come over and help us order. We are new to Indian cuisine and need all the help we can get. Several weeks later we decided to try it out again, only this time we opted for the lounge area. We were greeted by the owner who personally selected our tastings. He spent time explaining the ingredients and preparation so we would understand and appreciate the meal. We love this kind of service! There have been some slight growing pains with the loss of some personnel. If you had a bad experience do try this one again. The food and attention is worth. An added plus is the hookahs (avail in lounge) and dj music starting at 9pm on Fri/Sat.
