In Short – With a setting that keenly combines old and new Dallas, Strong's offers a uniquely cool vibe on the corner of Fairmount and Cedar Springs. Distressed white walls from decades passed surround plush banquette seating, modern fixtures and long mirrors. The menu is upscale tavern and includes a pricey Angus filet, mushroom burgers and a Thai salad. They also specialize in Tequila with a selection of more than eighty brands available in flights or straight shooters.

really good food

I live near by and finally stopped in to try strong?s for dinner. Great food and really good cocktails! I tried the chicken florentine entree and it was outstanding. Service was solid without being too stiff or formal. Only three deserts offered on the menu, but the two we tried were amazing! It?s not a huge place so I?d recommend calling ahead on weekends.

- Cons: not a huge space, can go on a wait during prime times

Great Casual Date Place!

Strong's is the perfect place for a casual weeknight date. The atmosphere is chill and the food is great, especially if you like simple, yet tasty home style cooking. The meatloaf if my favorite - it's even better than Grandma's! My guy and I frequent Strong's and we're never disappointed by the food or the service. Sit out on the patio on nice evenings for the full effect. And if you live up north in Plano, I highly recommend Red's Patio Grill off Preston and Spring Creek. They have a similar menu and atmosphere. Like I said this is a great casual date spot. Enjoy!

Best Top-Shelf Margaritas

Dean Fearing needs to take note. Strong's Margarita selection is quite possibly the best in Dallas. Nowhere will you find margaritas made from different kinds of tequila and all being distinctly different. The food here is generally quite good, with a few menu items sticking out. The UpTown Dog, is one of the most ingenius dishes around and is great during a ball game. Their chips and salsa are also outstanding. Overall, Strong's is a great casual pick that I recommend for anyone who loves margaritas.
