Hair in the Food. Recent Buffet at Iravat, I found hair in the food. When I pointed it out the owner, he says, it is no big deal, get more and eat. He was angry at me for pointing out unhygienic food. He is absolutely RUDE, ARROGANT MAN. He has no respect for Indian folks, he will kiss American ASS though.

Go there if you have no respect for yourself.

btw, check this out the plano city restaurant guide.

https://egov.plano.gov/RestaurantScores/

type Iravat.

Then probably you will know better.

AWFUL. Owner was sooo rude and arrogant. He is a kiss up to all the non-indians!!! I think he hates anyone who is brown,...

The waiter had an attitude and they charged my card twice.....

Tried to call them to get it resolved but no answer...

All Indians should stay away. The owner is rude, and biased. This guy talks very friendly to non-desi people, he is rude to Indians and Pakistani people. He is good to American and that too rich Americans.

Food stinks, buffet is stale and silverware is not clean.

This place is good for nothing.

Worst Place on earth. This is the worst place I have ever been to in my entire life. I almost eat 5 or 6 times outside a week and I have never seen so pathetic customer service in my ten year traveling and eating outside experience.

The guy at the front is so arrogant and he must be thinking he is feeding the needy for free.

Stay away from this place if you can. Greecy food can make you sick.

If you go with 4 adults and 2 kids then expect a 18% gratuity automatically added to you bill. They might have already figured nobody tips them for their pathetic service.

Experience the best..!. Since coming to USA I have tried almost all Indian restaurants in Plano and I find that Iravat is a welcomed change with its ambiant atmosphere and aromatic and fresh food.

The above comments are all fake , I had never came across this kind of attitude from the owner or any crew in the resaturant. I had been here four times , once I was with my office people around 15 of us and my Boss was there and they received us very pleasantly and the service was a five star. My boss liked the food and also ambience.

He came with his family later, everyone loved the food next day he came back and told me that the restarunt was one of the best Indian restaurants he came across. He was very pleased with friendly service.

I am really upset on the above reviews , it purely looks like a personal grudge than a review.

Just a final note... " don't get mislead, experience on your own...!"

Ban Manager. I have been to this restaurant with my friends on the last weekend. Unfortunately, I found this is the worst place I have ever seen. The way they treat the customers is very bad, especially they treat very bad with the Indian students

This is the experience we had at IRAVAT indian restaurant...This is the conversation at Iravat,,

We 5 members went to this place for buffet,,at the entrance the owner ( I think his name is Pradeep asked -- for how many people??(to arrange the table)

1 of our frends replied---five

Pradeep--told us to wait for 10 min ( at entrance)

we said "YES"

But we can see that there ara couple of empty tables which can accomadate 5 members..

In mean while he got inside--

we are waiting at the entrance,,

One of the waiter came asked us again-- how many of us there to arrange the table

we said five..

He (the waiter) told to come in and he said he had the table arranged for 5 people

Suddenly Manager(his name Pradeep I think) appeared and infront of us and said--how many times should i tell to wait for 5 mins)

This is what literely happened at IRAVAT..He stopped one of us with his hand,,Keeping his hand on our shoulder and pushing us out at the door and said i told you wait for 10 mins)

we said you waiter told to Come In, that's the reason we moved in,,in mean while waiter came and showed the table for us and he is arranging water glasses for 5 of us...

But we walked out without any delay as the manager treated very badly with us,,,

The Manager should learn how to treat wit the customers....he insults indian studnets very badly,.,, MANAGER is #1 worst candidate...He is so rude and arrogant while behaving with indian students

Best Place to get a stomach upset. This place totally is way below average!!! I went there on a weekend buffet and the food was really bad.!!The place was also very dirty with food crumbs all over the floor. The waiters mexican illegal immigrants or indian students studying in local colleges(who are not supposed to be able to work) did not understand english and so I was thankful that it was a buffet. With much excitement I approached the buffet line-up and tried the pakodas, idli, dosas as starters. The pakodas were very salty and looked like they were fried in unhealthy oil. The idli was very hard and not soft as in other indian restaurant that I have eaten in. The dosas were all crumbling and not smooth. I decided to try the goat curry, chicken tikka masala and had to request the waiter to get me my naans. After 30 mns the waiter brought the naans out and to my dismay found that it was roasted too much to the point that it was charred. The chicken tikka and goat curry was below average. The chicken peices were hard and was overcooked. We decided to skip to the desert and found that the gulab jamuns were not sweet at all. All in all it was a bad expereince and I will never visit this place again in future. Oh and yeah as expected I did fall sick the next day and was stuck in the restroom for 2 days.
