In Short – Natural elements such as stone, hardwood floors and linear accents emulate Frank Lloyd Wrights' designs creating a clean sophisticated style. Comfortable booths and tables surround the u-shaped bar pronounced by blue lighting. Service is attentive to detail and the menu delivers American favorites with unexpected quality, flavor and flair. The maple glazed mahogany chicken has you at hello, its aroma and tender texture is impressionable. And in a town of competitive steaks joints, the beef tenderloin is a mean contender. If you get full on the artichoke spinach dip starter,…

Going downhill

My toothpicks of vegetables were swimming in grease. My father's Rubin sandwich was cold and rock hard crust. The french fries were so heavy salted they were difficult to eat. The Magnolia Chicken was barely warm. The salad never arrived.
We live in the neighborhood and it is a nice place. Don't seem to care a whole lot on a Sunday night. At least this was the case. My last three times were average at best.
ok but not worth the price

We sampled quite a few items off the menu. Nothing was great and there were some issues. One of the two appetizers was extremely salty the other was great but such a small portion for $12. The salad was average. The entree was good but the side vegetable was off. The apple dessert was good except for the charred apple peel. If you are going to caramelize an apple slice; avoid or remove the peel otherwise the burned peel leaves a very nasty ash taste in your mouth. Atmosphere and service was great but the food was not consistently good.
- Pros: Ambience & Service
- Cons: food consistency
Our new favorite restaurant!

We love this place. We used to go to Houstons quite a lot, but got tired of the long wait and no reservations policy. We love the fact that we can reserve our table. The food is great served by our favorite waiter Gresham. The seafood is always very fresh and served beautifully! We have been there at least once a week for the last month.
- Pros: reservations available, walk ins usually seated quickly, close parking
Fresh fresh fresh

My new favorite neighborhood restaurant!

My family went and tried the Woodlands during Sunday brunch and we thought everything was fantastic. I recommend the mussel appetizer (although with about 20 mussels and buttered toast it could be a meal!) and the bison cheeseburger. The service was absolutely perfect. I only wished I would have tried something off of the breakfast menu because the pancakes and French toast looked great. Everything from the decor, to the service, to the menu is well thought out and appreciated! We will be returning over and over!
- Pros: great service, wonderful food, reasonable prices. Good brunch and nice menu choices
- Cons: None!!
