Petite Pooch Plus

Great Staff and Grooming Experience. Great experience. When I picked up my pooch, she came running out to greet my kids with a smile and wagging tail. She was groomed by a student and looked just as good as the $50 place I normally take her. I even left a tip. This will be our new place for haircuts.…

Grooming was less then perfect and dog now has fleas.. We brought our one dog to be groomed by Petite Pooch after boarding both of our dogs at their Carrollton location. The boarding went well with no issues, but we can't say that about the grooming. First, when we dropped the dog off, we asked for it not to be left out to play with other dogs or roam around the property. When we picked the dog up, he was doing just that. Running around, freely.

Then after getting him home, it appeared to be a decent grooming, on the surface, till we started to notice that the grooming was uneven. We found areas like the legs, where they were trimmed, but long strands of hair were left untouched.

Then, after about a day, we then noticed the dog had fleas. Sure this happens with dogs, but in the 4-5 years we've had dogs at our home, we've never had an issue. We can only imagine that either the Petite Pooch location has fleas or the other clients' dogs. Which is why we requested the dog not to be allowed to roam with other dogs.

When we attempted to call and let them know about the issue, all we got was an unsympathetic "Sorry."

It's unfortunate that these few issues were treated so coldly and thus we won't return. Sorry.…

My poodle loves Petite Pooch Chateau!!. I have left my minature poodle for a week of boarding and I don't think he missed me at all. They also do his grooming and for a school they do an excellent job with a poodle cut. When I turn off the access road several blocks away he knows where we are going, he gets so excited and can not wait to go inside.

I would not dream of taking him anywhere else. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and competent.…

Letter to Petite Pooch Plus Staff. This is a copy of a letter we emailed to Petite Pooch Plus in Carrollton. Wanted to share it with the CitySearch Network. "We want to thank you very, very much for your wonderful care of Shelby and Rusty while we were gone. They have been boarded before, but you are the BEST!!! Not only didn't we worry one minute (although we missed them), we see that they were well-cared for and loved while we were gone. We have already recommended you to others for grooming AND boarding...I hope it brings business.
