What are you waiting for?.
What? You have curly hair and you have never been to Mark Marcell at On the Avenue? What are you WAITING for? Let me tell you, my friend, you have never had a haircut like you will get from Mark. Not only that, but he will tell you things about curly hair and your hair in particular that you probably have never heard before. He's one of us! He has curly hair too! He speaks the language, is a member of congregation just like us! He will not only cut your hair perfectly but he will explain the products he uses on your hair (you can buy them there when you leave) and how to use them. He makes it SO SIMPLE! I bought all of the products and I am confident that I'll be able to do exactly what he did and my hair will look just as great when I'm doing it myself. Now I can clean out my bathroom cabinet and throw out all of those gels that stopped "working" for me.
I'm so thrilled with my hair that I could just about cry happy crocodile tears. I feel like a new woman at the ripe old age of 47. Marc rocks!! I'm so blessed to have found him.

Colorist/Stylist Janna Perez is Fabulous!. Janna has been coloring and cutting my hair for years and she's awesome. I don't always know if I should cut a little or a lot or if I should go lighter or darker and she always throws out options. I'm always happy when I walk out of the salon. She also cuts my husband's hair and he raves about her too. Go see Janna. You won't regret it!

Janna Perez is the Best. I grew up in the salon world and it took me forever to find someone I really liked. Before I found Janna I would drive 5 hours to my mom's salon. I have been going to Janna for over 5 years and I continue to get compliments. Janna is great because she will give you feedback if it is time for a change or if you should stick with a trim. I always look forward to a fresh cut and color, my hair has never looked better. Love Janna -- She is the best!

On the Avenue is THE best Salon in town!. The stylists are true artists. The aesthetician is amazing. I felt so comfortable and relaxed. I LOVE my hair color & style. Keep up the great work, On the Avenue! I'll be back for sure!

Love Leslie, Derra and the Whole Crew.
I have been going to see Leslie for many years now and just love her and her excellent work.
Derra is phenomenal at "doing" hair and really takes the time to listen to what I want.
I recommend this salon to any of those who want immaculate care for their hair and skin!

terrible service! Erika ruined my hair!. I went to on the avenue salon becuase I was new to dallas and it was close to my apt. Erika said I needed a trim so I asked her to only cut off half an inch, she CUTE OFF 5!!! I now look like a boy! Also, she added highlights that look like a skunk! I have been crying for months now, waiting for my hair to finally grow back out. She was the WORST hairdresser I have ever had!

Amazing Salon in Dallas. Derra is Fantastic!! I have tried many hair stylists in the five years that I have lived in Dallas and no one has done a better job than Derra-I always leave with the perfect color and cut. I would recommend On the Avenue Salon to anyone who is looking for a great stylist in a quaint and relaxing atmosphere.

Fantastic service and great results.
As a working professional, I often find it difficult to find a salon that has flexible hours. While I could schedule for a Saturday, we all know how hard it is to squeeze one more thing into a busy Saturday. At On the Avenue, I can get an appointment on a weekday in the early evening, which is much easier for me. I also get great results, good conversation and somehow I always end up buying an extra goodie or two from the amazing selection of specialty products.
It is fantastic to find a salon that has an intimate, friendly atmosphere and the great service and results to back it up. While I am sure you will get great service with any of the professionals, I personally recommend Derra as a stylist. She does amazing work and has the rare ability to really understand what a client wants and how to make her look her best. Highly Recommend!

Great Place for a Haircut. It's kind of like Cheers - everybody knows your name. I've been getting my hair cut there for 10+ years. I always enjoy seeing everyone and catching up with Mark Marcell. My wife is a long-time client as well.
