Wonderful Atmosphere, Staff, & Menu. I've been here several times over the past couple of months now, and EVERY TIME I love the experience and wish I could stay longer. The service and staff are always tops - everyone here is friendly and you can tell they have a great team who work really well together. The food comes out hot and spot on. I'm not a critic but I do love Mexican food and every dish I've tried has been superb. I usually choose a chicken dish of some sort or some times just nachos and soft chicken tacos. They have a lot of fun patrons in there a lot - I've met some great people from the area & some traveling on business. You need to check out their bar for Happy Hour - fun times! It's really beautiful here with their design and the iron work is awesome. Looking forward to eating out on the patio one of these upcoming weekends. I highly recommend!

Authentic Mexican Restaurant that covers all 6 key points. We keep our reviews consistent and grade Mexican Restaurants on the 6 key points:

1. Tortillia Chips - Warm, flavorfull, and delicious

2. House Salsa(s) - 2 types, Roasted Red Pepper Salsa, and Salsa Verde. Both excellent.

3 Tortillias - Warm, homemade, thick and a great compliment to queso

4 Queso -White queso, served warm and flows smoothly

5 Fajita's -Excellent Carne Asada with a flavorfull marinade that does not overpower the meat

6 Margaritas -Incredibly tasty and reasonably priced

Beyond these 6 key points, the atmosphere is wonderful. The space is dimly lit with excellent light fixtures which bring a comfortable feeling to the authentic Mexican outlay. We were impressed with the Tequila Bar which is separated from the main restaurant by a transparent wall. Restaurant patrons can see the bar without being bothered by the noise it may exude.

We don't often rate something with 5 stars, but in this case we can't resist. The service was a little slow, but this should be expected at mid-priced Mexican Restaurants. We highly reccomend Agave Azul on all measures at it's price point level. Even if Carrolton is not around the corner, it is worth the drive.

Service Poor. I decided to give Agave Azul a try after hearing about the great food. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity as my party left after waiting 45+ minutes. We were repeatedly told we were the next to be seated (party of 5), but instead watched as similar sized parties were accomodated while we waited. I say avoid at all costs at periods of high traffic as they have limited seating and service is chaotic at best, one of the more frustrating non-dining experiences I have ever had.
