Excellent Band in the Hotel Bar!!!!. What a wonderful surprise - had drinks last night with some friends at The Stoneleigh Hotel bar and there was the most wonderful band playing! I am not sure if this is a recurring Friday night event, however I hope they come back soon! Great time all around!!!!

Just Okay. Being a spa girl, I would say that my overall experience was "okay." The spa itself was downstairs, almost like a cellar. The decor was nice, although a little dated, in my opinion. Most of the staff was nice, but my therapist was definitely sub-par. The lights were basically on during the massage, her technique was questionable, and she was not friendly and it seemed she hated her job. I wouldn't go back.

Great for a weekend getaway!. We went for a long weekend and we had a wonderful time! The renovations turned the hotel into a luxury experience and they also opened a completely new spa. They accommodated early check-in and when we arrived earlier than expected, they stored our luggage. We both went to the spa, and our treatments were enjoyable; however, there was poor communication between the spa reservationist and the technicians. I booked a hot stone massage, but they didn't tell the masseuse, so she didn't heat the stones. When I asked her, she immediately offered to heat them, but that would have taken a while so I just had a deep tissue massage instead. My fiance's massage was supposed to be Sports Therapy and he said it was more like Swedish (i.e. lighter than he preferred). Given that they didn't tell my masseuse what I had booked, we think they probably didn't tell his masseuse either. The mani-pedi was good, not great; some of the painting looked a bit ragged around the edges for the mani. The facilities are elegant, but I wish they had more of a selection of magazines, & they could stand to turn the A/C off & the music down. The spa in general seemed like it needed a little polish, but it was newly opened when we went, so I think they're still working out the kinks. We visited the restaurant for breakfast twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The food was very good and the service was great. We didn't eat dinner there, but we ordered room service (perfectly cooked steak with smashed potatoes and tasty mushroom risotto). Only con for the restaurant/bar: late night, it turned into a rowdy bar (not sure if it was locals or the wedding party staying in the hotel), so when we returned from the show, we couldn't have the quiet nightcap we had planned. Also, we accidentally left our video camera in the room (totally my fault--oops) after we left and they were kind enough to send it to us!! Overall, it was a wonderful experience! I look forward to returning!

The best hotel and spa in Dallas!. We spent the weekend at the Stoneleigh, using the spa, the restaurant, and the bar. Since its renovation was completed, this is an outstanding hotel. Prices were fairly high, but no greater than what you expect to pay for accommodations at this level. Service staff were incredible, everywhere and all the time. They were on top of everything, anticipating our needs, friendly and polite, and very knowledgeable. Th spa was wonderful. We both had the best massages of our lives there. The new restaurant was surprisingly affordable, but the food and service were perfect. Definitely an A+ hotel!

Get the Jet Setter. I had a Jet Setter massage the other day and it was fantastic. They use a combo of hot stones and Swedish massage and it feels like your body is just melting it's so relaxing. The spa and relaxation area are very quiet and peaceful. The relaxation area is dimly lit and they provide hot tea and cucumber water to drink while you wait and unwind. My therapist gave me just enough time to relax before my treatment and was very accomodating. All in all I left feeling very relaxed and renewed. I will definitely return!

Try the Melrose instead. the only redeeming quality about my stay at the Stoneleigh were the tasty bloody marys made by Alfonso at the Lion's Den. Everything else was miserable. I do not recommend this hotel. It is a terrible choice. Stay at The Melrose instead.
