Dallas >Chili's Grill & Bar
Not a place for your family. Last evening, Saturday, we went to Chili's with my family to have a nice meal. I had never been to this Chili's before but wasn't worried because we always have good experience at these restaurants. There were four of us, and we sat in a booth in the bar. My husband ordered a drink from the bar, and the rest were either water or tea. The drinks came in just a few minutes, but then we met our real waiter. He was a younger gentleman, not friendly really, and seemed very busy even though I did not see him waiting on any other customers. Our appetizer took a long time to come out and was a little cold. Our meal came out with several mistakes, but I was not surprised because he wrote nothing down. We sent back two plates, and it took a very long time for the mistakes to be fixed. There was no apology and he acted like we were wasting his time. I was very upset by the end of the meal. As was my husband. We were going to order dessert - I love the brownie with ice cream, but everything else took so long we decided not to wait. There were also errors on our bill. We were charged for things we did not order even though our main courses were also there. He said he would get the manager but he/she never came. Some of the restaurant was dirty, too. I will never take my family here again, and I ask that you do not either.
Bad idea - don't visit!!. I would not EVER ever allow anyone I know to visit this restaurant. My boyfriend and I were first greeted (after 5 minutes of sitting down) by our server with the question, "how many people y'all got?" from two booths away. He had an attitude in the first five seconds of our conversation. He didn't write down any of our order. We received our drinks in about five minutes. (At that time he had NO other tables). We ordered chips and salsa, two salads, and a buffalo chicken dish to split.... easy, right? After about 5-10 minutes we received our chips. 15 went by, no contact by our server, no salads. We had to flag him down to get him to stop at our table, and I nicely asked if we could have our salads before the meal. He said, "oh yeah, they'll be right out." After about 15 minutes go by, we finally receive our side salads ( aren't those ready and waiting in a cooler in the kitchen??) We are thinking any minute we'll be getting our food. 10 minutes go by, 20 minutes, 30 minutes. The 3-4 person table behind us who showed up 15 minutes AFTER us received their food. The other two-person booth in his section, who showed up 20 minutes after us received their food. Not once did our server come over to apologize, just said he was going to send over the manager and pretended to empathize. Another 3-4 minutes go by: no manager. I told my boyfriend to leave money for the drinks and salads on the table and for us to just leave. He was insistent upon talking to the server first... so he asked the server how much we owed him for salad/drinks, he said nothing - that the manager had already comped everything (interesting that we had not seen or heard from the manager about this). He also said our food was ready: "Let me go get it for you." He said it was also on the house. Five minutes later we still have not seen our waiter. Needless to say, we left with only chips and salads in our stomachs after 1 hr and 30 minutes. Absolutely the most ridiculous trip to Chili's I've ever had. Do NOT go to this location!!!!
Worst service Ive ever had @ a Chili's. We were warned and did not listen!! Figured we'd take our chances because this location was convenient at the time. It took less time to serve 20 guests at Outback Steakhouse for my sister's grad party than to be served two non-alc drinks, two salads, and two hamburgers. Server was unpleasant. Only positive was the very friendly door greeter. Someone give that guy a raise and get rid of your lazy servers and incompetent managers. We walked out because we never received our burgers after an hour and a half. On top of that our waiter never even apologized for our wait. We always go to Chili's, but have never been to one like this. Just do yourself a favor, and DON'T GO to THIS LOCATION.
Families and an after-work crowd come to this relaxed Tex-Mex chain for sizzling fajitas and a buzzing bar scene..
Festive decor of colorfully tiled tables, vintage photographs and sunny Southwestern accents welcomes an all-ages crowd at this informal hangout. Youngsters and their parents pile into dining room booths; casual business types toss back margaritas and watch televised sports at the bar. The menu features mild versions of Lone Star state favorites, from double-basted baby back ribs and steak fajitas to red-beef chili and deep-fried onions.
