Friendly owner and staff. We dropped in for a glass of wine on a Sunday afternoon. Brooks, one of the owners, was very nice to us, and even gave us a complimentary taste of champagne! We had a $12 glass of chardonnay that was indescribably delicious. (maybe someone who knows a lot more about wine could throw in a dozen "wine adjectives" for me!). I asked him several questions, and he answered them all with knowledge and without condescension. He and his brother then started a business meeting, but he still came back to the bar to check on us. We were in the capable hands of someone whose name I don't recall, but he had nearly lost a thumb in a deli accident. He was very nice, and gave us coupons for a complimentary glass of wine on our next visit. I like this place!

Great Wine Bar. Stopped by last night after dinner. Great atmosphere, great wine selection and great service. Eddie and Fernando were excellent hosts, who made great recommendations and really went out of there way to make sure they found you a wine you would enjoy.

Give your money to other places - First and LAST visit. Saturday was my first and LAST visit to Veritas. My coworker sent me a link about a wine tasting at Veritas since she knows that I love wine and love to learn more about it.

Unfortunately, the owners (two brothers) of this place seem like they were just two guys that wanted a wine bar on Henderson and opened one up. They didn't know anything about the wines that were being served during the tasting and instead just handed me the description sheet. When I tried to ask questions...they just handed me the sheet again and walked off.

When we arrived not many people were at the bar but we had to flag down one of the brothers or the wine sales person to pour our next taste.

They were rude. They didn't seem knowledgeable and there are MANY more places in Dallas to give your money to if you like wine. Try Times Ten Winery, The Wine Therapist, Cork and the list goes on.

Skip this place!

Cozy friendly wine bar. Great wine bar and wine retail store. You can purchase bottles to take home or drink on-site. Veritas has 10+ offerings by the glass, which change regularly - a great opportunity to try before you buy a bottle. The owners are usually there and are really knowledgeable, and the staff is great. Definitely seek their advice if you are looking for a bottle for a gift or to serve with a meal. Don't let the exterior fool you, it is a very cozy spot with a fireplace in the front room. They also have a great selection of cheeses, many from Texas. This place is a great addition to east Dallas. Oh, and they have half price by the glass on Monday nights - can't beat that!
