WOW! In Dallas?? Real Home Food??The answer is yes. This location is next to a popular night club but don't let that scare you away. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could. Started off with Phoulorie and the Jerk Chicken soup. VERY Good... BTW the resturant is VERY clean. FYI. Ok back to the food. I had the combo plate curry goat jerk chicken and curried shrimp. YUMMMM. Since there isn't another resturant like this here in the DFW area its hard to find all the goodies in the same spot. Overall ... Go try it ... You won't be sorry.

Great food, price and service!

I have never eaten Caribbean food before, and I have to say...Scarlet Ibis is my new favorite restaurant. My girlfriend and I had the Doubles and Phoulorie as appetizer, and both were good.

For dinner I had the j3rk burger and loved it! The spices were slightly stronger than I expected (never had a j3rk burger before), but it wasn't bad and I definately enjoyed it.

I had a couple of drinks (malibu w/ coconut water and rum and coke) then had some coconut roll for dessert which topped off the excellent experience.

I have to say...I will be back...a lot!

• Pros: Awesome food, great prices, friendly service
• Cons: I got full and couldn't keep trying things.

Craving for plantain

I wanted to eat something like home tasting, and the picture of the "Stewed Oxtail" made me even hungrier. Service was Ok, I tried a Ting (grapefruit soda) not very tasteful for me. The we tried "Phoulorie" as appetizer, they are little dough made of split pea flour fried and served in a thin sweet chutney tamarin sauce. My friend asked for the "Ribeye Stake" and I ordered The "Stewed Oxtail", both with rice with peas and plantain. We really enjoyed the food.
