Maybe my first 5 star review here; Ahi tuna nachos were near perfect despite the cheesy label. Squash fritters were perfectly fried and seasoned inside, i will order that again. Duck bacon balsamic fig flatbread was like the best pizza in the world putting anything at Cane Rosso to shame easily and my favorite dish of this year. The bone marrow and brisket dish was also the best bone marrow dish I have had so far and I have tried all the best rated places in DFW. AND did i mention how incredible the drinks are?? Mostly made with freshly squeezed juice so they are so refreshing you can t stop consuming them. I heard this was one of the best cocktail bars in Dallas and that is totally true, but while I came for the drinks I would stay for the awesome food. I went last night and i m going back again tonight. The service for us was flawless and the waitress was very sweet and helpful.
I am not saying this is great bar food, I m saying this is great food food. lol
P.S.- A man that works there named Matt Ragan (manager i m assuming) was the only person who responded to my emails to several cocktail bars inquiring if they would be kid friendly because I have a newborn but I still have to go out occasionally. lol. He went out of his way to take my reservations and he exhibited the highest level of customer service you can ask for.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my experience at Victor Tangos and I doubt you will either.
the place is amazing – The food here is amazing. The scratch cocktails are delicious and so unique. I love the variety on the menu some of the items are so freaking good I just wanted to pig out and stuff my face, but I had to share with my coworkers...I felt like snapping at their hands. Not really but when you go try the Ahi Tuna Nachos, sublime and the Mini Cheeseburger Tacos, so good. mmm The cocktails are all made with super premium liquors and are so zesty, flavorful and unique. Usually I stay away from Gin because it gives me an instant hangover...but they gave me a cocktail on the house, with Gin, it was sooo good and the quality was such that there was no headache. Finally the staff there are cute, cute, cute but besides that they know the menu, the drinks, the bar, the liquors and they can steer you in the right direction. Perfect for casual to special date night and everything in between.
Tristan Simon strikes Henderson Avenue again with this community style eatery and bar. – In Short
A galley dining area is defined by a brick wall on the left and a stretch marble bar on the right. Vintage shakers sit atop the brick wall lending notion to the experienced bar tenders and historic bar menu. Don't expect the typical basket of wings and cliché martini here--ahi tuna nachos, lobster sliders and passion fruit gimlets are all on tap here. Groups of casually hip socials graze over the shared eclectic menu items at large wooden tables and in comfy leather booths. The ladies gossip and people-watch as the men gaze at the sport infested HD television and wide drop down screen.
Yummy – I expected Victor Tangos to be a little more loungish and not so much restaurant but I was pleased after I sampled the menu. I loved the cheesburger tacos and everyone I was with enjoyed their meal as well. Plates are reasonably priced as well. The cocktails are great too...fun place to start the night!
LA Style right here in Dallas – Great place for small plates and pre-party drinks. Cool scene with bar and dining tables. Unique menu includes Lobster Sliders , Mini Tacos and a long drink menu for the ladies.
