Always fresh, always great!. My husband and I are extremely picky foodies who hate large chains... this is hands down our favorite place in McKinney (unfortunately McKinney is very short on great eateries). I'd say this is tex mex with a little fresh island flair. Our favorite go-to dishes are the Tacos al Pastor (pork) and Chicken Los Cabos. We are able to split the 3 taco plate or the los cabos, and I'd consider us pretty big eaters. We occasionally add an extra side of rice or the chori-queso, if we are really hungry. Tex-mex check list: chips - good; salsas - excellent; margaritas and sangria - wonderful; food - consistently great!…

Always great food at a good price. My family and I love this place. The food is always fresh and we never leave hungry. I also a fan of the two salsa options when they bring chips to your table. Each taco includes 2 tortias so you can double your taco count! Ifd you have room, order the churros. Oh dear, sweet, Lord they are awesome. They come w/ a killer dipping sauce. Self serve soda too, which is a plus. The decor isn't fancy or impressive. The focus is on the food, where it should be!…

If you haven't been, your doing yourself a disservice!. I love Mexican food, authentic Mexican food, as my friends and waistline will attest. So when I say Petra is some of the best Mexican food that I've ever eaten, it means a lot. From the perfectly spiced food to the impeccable service, everything seems to be finely honed.

Couple that with being operated by an upstanding Christian man, and award-winning chef and you have a recipe for success.
