Left in the Lurch

I reserved my move one week before the date to make sure all was pre-planned. They took down all my information and promised to be at my home as scheduled. I was Moving into a larger home and thought this company was professional enough to do the job. I took off of work and canceled several very important meetings so I could be at home on a Tuesday. I called this company on Monday afternoon (got voice mail) to make sure all was going as promised but got no reply until 10:30 pm. Some guy called me and said Scott from Safest Move Movers was out of town. Safest Move Movers could not even inform me one day ahead of time that they would be unwilling to do the job. I cannot explain how much trouble their irresponsibility has caused me. A simple phone call informing me of their no show intentions on Monday morning would have been much appreciated and would saved my entire move from being turned into a total disaster. Had I not called THEM on Monday I would have been sitting at home waiting all day for a truck that NEVER would have come.

Couldn't have done it without them!

First of all, Scott scheduled me on a holiday weekend. I had to unexpectedly change my move date and that was the only weekend I could do it. Four other larger companies turned me down. One other larger company agreed to do it but for double their regular price. Scott agreed and kept his pricing fair and reasonable even though it was a holiday weekend.

Secondly, they showed up when they were supposed to, they were super nice but took their business seriously. They worked so quickly! As fast as they went, I was suprised with the consistent focus on handling my belongings with exceptional care.

It would have saved them time and energy to just make my pieces look secured. Instead, they took the time and effort to individually blanket and secure my special pieces of furniture and showed concern for their care once unloaded.

Finally, you gotta love a company where the owner expects his crew to work hard, treats them like equals AND literally jumps in to help them out. If Scott had been a stand-over kind of owner, I would have had to pay double what I paid because I didn't realize how long it was going to take (I was still packing when they got there). He saw that I needed help and offered to assist. His willingness to help out saved me literally hundreds!

An owner who values his company's reputation and his customer's well-being over an extra buck evidences true integrity. What a pleasant suprise to find such values at such a stressful time!

In the last 20 years I have had some gruesome moving experiences. I've had movers who showed-up late, damaged my belongings and left marks on the walls. I've had movers who insisted on payment up-front who left and never returned. I had one company that quoted me one price and presented me with a bill that was three times higher. I even had movers once who smelled so bad that we had to have all of our furniture cleaned because our house reeked of them.

With all of these experiences, I was apprehensive to use a smaller company like Scott's. I cannot

compliment Scott enough on his personable professionalism. This was not an easy move and Scott's hard work decreased my stress level so that I could focus on getting us settled into our new home.

I would recommend Scott and Safest Move to anyone who is looking for friendly, fair and professional moving services. I would also tell anyone who uses this company to expect above-and-beyond to be included in the quote!

Best moving service I have used

These guys gave us a very competitive flat rate to move from our 2 bedroom apartment to a house. They showed up on time and well prepared. They were very careful with our belongings, and were very attentive to the details of the particular object they were moving. We have two white leather couches, and instead of just throwing them in the truck with all the rest of our stuff, they decided to do two trips at no extra cost to us, just so the truck will be empty on the second trip (which would minimize any damage to our couches). The couches, beds, and dressers were meticulously wrapped in blankets and plastic wrap/tape before being moved. They were also very professional and great to deal with. I have to say these guys are the best moving service I have used.
