Dallas >Hyena's Comedy Club
HILLARIOUS. This place is AWESOME! Great staff, and most importantly, every act is hillarious! Generally a great place to go! I have gone numerous times, and we have had such a great experience each time. Not sure what the other reviewers are talking about at all, I have never had an issue with the waitresses.
Rude waitress staff and weak management. This place sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The waitress staff is rude and the drinks are watered down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So make sure you're right before you go and take a flask! I been before and the comedians were so great, I didn't mind before. So when it came to my turn to bringing out the crowd.... Let's just say my people don't play rudeness especially with weak drinks! From the moment the waitress approached us there was blatant at-ti-tude. This waitress went as far as to tell one of my friends that she wasn't going to take her order and turned her back to get the order of a couple who came in after us. The crown/coke looked like rum/coke and tasted like watered down Dr. Pepper! If you try to say something is wrong with your drink, the waitress only becomes belligerent. One waitress called me out my name and launched at me like she wanted to attack me when I was only inquiring about why my friend was upset. The little man, I believe his name is Jason act as if he didn't see anything. Later as we were leaving, this little man called the DART police and stated that I threatened him. Really, little man. I could go on and on. However, the point is, if you have to go, go see a comedian you reeeeeeeeeally want to see. Eat before you go because the food is stadium food. Try not to talk to the staff.....have someone else order for you. Hit a bar afterwards!!!
This place SUCKS! MGMT is rude and inhospitable! Dont go. Don't go- find another comedy club. Not even worth the 10 you spend. WARNING- Needs new mgmt then will be great.
Locally grown comedy club attracts comedians such as 'Kid' Reid and other talents to their stage.. A theater setting spotlights the stage where comedians perform original live acts while a stealth wait staff delivers drinks and food to the giggling audience. Most acts are raw but some involve accessories and props to engage guests who dare to join the show. Two performances per evening--at 8:30pm and 10:30pm--allow for early and late laughs. And Sunday nights features the best of comedic talent in Texas with four touring pros and two up-and-coming acts.
