HORRIBLE Customer Service

My husband and I were in the market for a vehicle and found one online that was listed at this dealership. We completed an online inquiry and within 24 hours received a call back from Windy. She was very pleasant and answered all of our questions regarding this vehicle. We scheduled an appointment to look at the vehicle a few days later when we would be in town. In the interim, we received a phone call from a gentleman named Kitt who identified himself as the "owner". Kitt said that he had spoken with Windy about my interest in said vehicle, and immediately began to interrogate me on my intentions on paying for the vehicle. Mind you, I have not even seen the vehicle. I am assuming Kitt heard the immediate hesitation, because he then began to explain that the car was "not really" on their lot and that it belonged to one of their Board members who is 70 years old. He then continued by saying that he wouldn't want to waste his time, oh "or mine" if I did not have serious intentions on purchasing this vehicle. I finally mustered up the words to let Kitt - "the owner" know that being in such a business means that nothing is promised. Regardless to what my intentions were on how I would pay for the vehicle was no promise that I would like or choose to purchase it. So essentially it sounds like this car is on assignment which was never relayed to me - misrepresentation. I was so overwhelmed and insulted with his line of questioning, lack of professionalism and customer service that I let him know that I would not be keeping my appointment. I think I will stick to more reputable dealerships.
- Pros: There aren't any
- Cons: The owner - Kitt
