Gary and the crew immediately make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. This isn't one of those shops where you walk in and don't get attended to right away. These guys are down to earth, good people who love what they do.
Never had a problem they couldn't fix. The mechanics at this shop are very knowledgeable in their trade and are also very quick at getting your bike back on the road or trail.
I have pretty limited experience with bike shops, but the Bicycle Path seems top notch to me. It seems like Gary is always there and all of the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Me and a friend recently undertook a project to rebuild three old Schwinns and we've been frequenting the shop for all sorts of oddball parts. Whitewall 27's? 3 days to order. Standard Schwinn axles? in stock. Shimano crank puller? Cheaper than ebay. Spokes? buck apiece. Ouch. I guess I'll be cannibalizing an old wheel.
This is an awesome small local bike shop! Gary and his staff are always very helpful and we have purchased 3 high end bikes from them and as usual every time they go above and beyond to suit our needs! If you are in the area (or not), stop by here and check them out if in need for anything BIKE! If they don't have it they will promptly order it for you too! Love them!!
We now have 3 bike shops in Denton (well 2-1/2 considering Bike-O is barely ever open...). Recently the Bicycle Path just opened, with the owner, a former Mad Duck employee, pulling the best of the best help from Bike-O to run his shop.
I have high hopes for this shop, as, in my opinion, Denton Bicycle never seems to have what I'm looking for, the owner is a douchebag, the prices are high, and, of course, they only carry the Trek line.
The Bicycle Path, in comparison, carries both Specialized and Fuji bikes.
Their staff is friendly, helpful, and willing to order anything that is not currently in-stock. Moreover, they've already begun hosting group rides that start and end at the shop.
Gary, the owner knows mountain bikes, cyclocross, etc. Stearns can pretty much fix any bike, and Travis is their in-house BMX expert.
I highly recommend this shop to anyone in Denton or the rest of the metroplex.
Good folks... know their stuff & don't try to sell you everything in their inventory.
