TRAIN THE MANAGER.
Having once decided not to go back to Cyclone Anaya because of the rude and poor service from the bartender “Carlos” who should have been fired many months ago for many issues. He is one of the reasons that your Dallas Beltline restaurant has lost many customers and regulars because of his attitude and cheating. Why I ask is he stills a part- time bartender or waiter? As you know there are a lot of good restaurants in this area with better management, customer service and consistency, this just isn't one of them. After one year I was informed that Rubin was cleaning house and was trying to turn this disaster of a restaurant around and it has not happened with constancy and certain bartenders.
Whenever I am in town and Carlos is working he is all over the restaurant except where he is supposed to be. When I arrived at noon the bar was cluttered, filthy and unkempt, as matter of fact the isle in front of the bar was blocked with a servers tray and stand, which the young new MOD or Carlos did not move this until about 30 minutes later. The MOD was walking around and never picked up anything with an attitude. Since Rubin has been assigned to be there almost full time I had really high expectations, but was seriously let down again for the last time.
Carlos serving the bar the last three times including today never got me my customary chips, salsa, or water, and as usual it took me ten to fifteen minutes to take my order because he was running around and never getting my chips. This time when I got my bill for the breakfast he charged me extra for bacon and in two years it came with the basic meal and Carlos knew that.
When I received my bill and again Carlos added extra for the bacon I questioned him on the inconstancy and he disappeared a few minutes later new young manager that I had observed walking around in his freshly starched clean pin striped shirt and that he did not want to get dirty, approached me and in a condescending, rude and unapologetic attitude said “ I hear you got a problem” I politely advised this disrespectful young and immature manager that there must have been a misunderstanding because the price of the omelet for the past two years had included the bacon. He with a disrespectful attitude told me it’s on the menu and he would get me one if I wanted too and continued to go back and forth with attitude telling me I was wrong. Is this showing customer service to argue with me in a place of business? He should be more worried about the lack of inconsistency of his staff that does not provide chips and water, make sure the bar is clean and the isle are not obstructed with service material and there is timely service caused by his lack of skills and once “FIRE CARLOS” and replace him with a bartender that is friendly, personable and conducts the biz of tending bar and get a mature non childish manager, until this happens I and anybody I know will have to boycott your establishment “Again”
Service?. ok, i write this from Houlihans next door. We can all agree that Cyclones decor is amazing and the prices a little high but tolerable. my gripe is the little bar chick! I used to go a couple of times a week. It was always 1 of 2 bartenders. Friendly, personable and conducted the biz of tending! Now, we wait a month go in to test the water and it's the same little bar maid too busy in an empty bar to serve us. we move on down to Houlihans each time. they open the door for us and want our service. Hey Cyclone you have a finish-out to pay for. Wake up!
I LOVE THIS PLACE!. This place is great. My family and I go here often for a great marg.. the marg is 14 bucks but well worth it. You will only need 1 to really be feeling it. I have only gotten on thing on the menu and it is always the lobster enchiladas and they are amazing! It was like heaven in my mouth. I did go the brunch and they have 10 dollar all you can drink mimosas. They were also very strong. I ordered the breakfast and it was not all that like I was expecting. I will stick to the enchilads next time. The only down fall is the price. It can be pretty pricey when your drinking and eating but its worth it. I think this is a great place for a good time with friends and family. I cant wait to go again.
THE ADDISON STORE SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COST!. I have been going there for about a year now. Having said that there are some MAJOR problems with this restaurant. When I first started going there was good food and margaritas and it’s very close to my office and home. NOW THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! It has steadily declined TO BEING THE WORST. I was just there and not only did I order my drink 2 times at the bar never getting them, after 10 minutes we sat down at a booth and they didn't arrive until the food did! My glass was filthy, not smudged but had lipstick still on it. I have noticed the patronage there has been steadily declining and going dark. I can’t say anything good about the floor staff, I truly wish someone with authority at corporate would read this and send a secret shopper to the restaurant. PLEASE look at how awful your staff is. Your Addison restaurant is a terrible waste of potential.
Avoid it if you can. My girlfriend and I ate at the Beltline location this past Monday and had the worst time of our life. It started at the door with the hostess; she was rude did not even say hello or welcome? when she walked us to the table she walked away not even caring if we were following or not, she had long hair and was a Spanish lady and spoke very very very bad English then she drop the menus on the table and not even say anything like enjoy your meal or your waiter will be xxxxx and took off, the server was not much better the food was not particularly flavorful and ok at best. We saw the manager but she never came by the table. We left and went home and we both ended up hugging the ceramic chair AKA the toilet all night. After speaking with a neighbor about what happened, she said that I am the 3rd or 4th person she has talked to that has had a bad food experience from Cyclone Anaya’s Beltline.
