Plano >Taychen Enterprises
Worst shopping experience ever!!!. I am renovating and remodeling a martial arts school, and remembered Taychen from a previous trip to Collin Creek Mall. The store carries a lot of nifty stuff that is hard to find anywhere else. I was in the store for about a half hour, and was not greeted or spoken to AT ALL!!! I saw several things I intended to purchase, but wanted to be sure my partner was in agreement with my purchases. I took a picture of a statue with my camera phone, and then I was spoken too immediately and abruptly. I was informed that picture taking was against the store policy despite the fact that there was no sign saying as such. I explained to the man that I am about to purchase several statues for my martial arts school (over a thousand bucks worth) but want the opinion of my partner first, may I please take the pictures. He called me a liar and told me that I still could not take pictures. He went so far as to try and prove to me that he knew I was lying by asking what these statues had to do with martial arts (Buddha and Guan Yu). He obviously doesn't know his own merchandise or the first thing about customer service. I was very disappointed in his actions as the store had some nice things, but you are surely are to be treated rude if you have a question or expect any kind of service. I gave it one star because it wouldn't let me give it any less! I believe the man to be the owner. If he is not, then someone should replace him as he is hurting their business!
Horrible Customer Service/Owner. I used to shop at this store because they carried hard to find decent stuff for dragons and celtic figurines and statues. After today though I will not shop there. I went into this store and found one item I liked in a glass case and one item that was not in the case. The one item out of case was $85.00 and in the case I was not sure. I asked a grey haired gentlemen behind the counter for assistance on the one in the case. He was reading something and when I asked it was like I had bothered him and was pulling him away from something more important than his customers. I walked over to the case and he still acted like it was me being th bother. I told him that if it was that much of a big deal than I will take my business somewhere else. Thats when he got rude and was telling me to leave. I told him I would as soon as I got his name and number and information about the owner and business. He says he is the owner and told me to leave. Well I walked out calmed down and came back and talked to a lady, whom was very helpful, and asked her information. She gave what I needed and here comes the old man. He starts mouthing off again. He has a cart in his hand to go get something, I guess, and I was walking out. Well we are in the mall now, not his store, and he is mouthing off more and then told me to go f myself, exact words. Thats when I got pissed. Well he hit me with his cart and touched me. No he couldnt hurt anyone and he was harmless but the fact is he commited assualt all because I asked for a price on his product. After this I will not shop there and I would suggest anyone else not shop there. I will be talking to my lawyer on Monday and may have him brought up on charges. Sad to see a great merchandise wise store go to crap with crappy "owners/empolyees". BTW I went to mall security and they said they would let their management know his actions because it was assualt.
