West Village brasserie touts Sous Vide cooking techniques. – A foyer bar beckons with dark wood work, antique mirrors and tiled floors. A hip crowd cocktails at pub and marble-topped tables or at the zinc bar lit perfectly for intimate conversation. The neutral- and orange-hued dining room is cozy for groups who dig into the locally sourced dishes, from hydro bibb salad to bison burgers. The kitchen also favors the European method of slow cooking to produce protein and flavor rich foods such as grain mustard paparadelle, lamb with mustard greens and leeks.
Don't go here if you are hungry! – I went here with a date last weekend and was completely disappointed. We had looked at the menu a week before after eating at Tom Tom in the area. We decided to try it one Saturday evening on the patio. I ordered the steak frites and my date ordered the grilled salmon. The server kept asking if we wanted a salad or macaroni cheese with the meal which should've been a hint because the plates were so small! My steak included 5 cubed pieces over a tablespoon of spinach. My date laughed that his salmon was a child's plate! His fish was literally 2inchesx2inches. Maybe people go here for the drinks, but not the food..what we had was delicious but not anywhere near enough nor worth the price.
