Tips for Ferrari's Pizzeria

January 29, 2013

i never think pizza like this would be found in texas. Just perfect. But when we walked in, and smelled the pizza, I knew something good was coming our way. This is the real thing, with real Italian's working behind the counter. Thin crust, great marinara, and too much cheese. Just the way I like it. You do not need toppings, but the Italian Sausage is very good .Yeeeeeeeeeaaaa

My bank statement showed that I had been overcharged by 50% on April 16th for a meal at Ferrari's Pizzeria. I have both the bank statement and the restaurant receipt to show the overcharge.

When I called the restaurant, I was told the owners were on vacation and no one could help me until they returned. When the owners didn't call, I followed up and was told that they would not reverse the overcharge on my card.

Instead, I could waste my time going back to the restaurant to get a cash refund or store credit. The proper response would have been to reverse the overcharge.

The food is okay...nothing to write home about (slow service and the pizza is a bit greasy). However, their business practices are unethical.

not so hot-so. Ferrari's was a failed venture in our attempt to find a local alternative to pizza hut that delivers both pizza and wings. The flavor of the buffalo hot sauce is actually pretty tasty but either the condensation from the foil tin or the original preparation method left them kind of soggy (like the texture of defrosted fried chicken, if that makes sense). To accompany the buffalo mush meat, we ordered "the combo" from the specialty pie menu so we could try a variety of toppings. Unfortunately there is a processed quality to the ingredients that reminded me of store-bought frozen pizza; i am referring to the "good" kind of store-bought pizza but for $15.99 i expected better. To make matters worse, there was a moldy garlic-like rankness to the pie when i ate it cold the next day, which is definitely a cardinal sin for me when it comes to pizza. I know there are a lot of good reviews out there for this restaurant but there were so many atrocities committed by Ferrari's on our first experience (including an incompetent order taker, which i won't go into) that i don't see how one could call that an off night.
