Well Deserve, Best Hair Salon in Dallas by D Magazine. Gorgeous salon, Excellent service, perfect haircut.

I love love love this salon.  I've been living in Dallas TX for a little over a year, and have been looking for a salon that I could step into feeling welcome and step out of with a gorgeous head of hair...and still love my haircut weeks after I got it.  My search has ended here.
When I arrived at AALAM the Salon, I was greeted by the friendly receptionist, had my coat checked, was offered my choice of many nice beverages, and within two minutes was met by the caring and delightful Mansour. He asked me what kind of haircut I was looking for, what I did not want, and then gave me a couple of options to choose from. From there I was taken to get a shampoo and a scalp massage, which was an amazing and welcome change from the salons who always try to rush these pamper steps. 

I found Mansour to be very precise yet efficient. My haircut took about an hour (cut plus blow-out and styling). Our conversation was great--he was interesting, worldly, and very funny. I very much appreciated his checking in during the haircut; for instance, he would ask if I wanted to go even shorter or if wanted more layers or if I wanted my cut to frame my face. It was nice to be able to have so much say in the process. 

It's been almost three weeks since my cut and I am receiving more compliments than ever before. I rarely spend more than $50 on a cut, so it was a little expensive; however, it is the best haircut I've ever had and worth every penny. 

The salon itself is beautiful, clean and flooded with light. Located on Preston Road, the salon has a very upscale feel without being pretentious.

AALAM THE SALON -. Voted Best Salon in D Magazine 2010!

Mansour has been cutting mine and my husbands hair for several years. We both have difficult hair to cut, but Mansour always makes our hair look wonderful. Not only can he cut your hair but does a wonderful job styling it as well. The products that he uses on our hair are great. My fav is Bumble and Bumble gives my coarse hair lots of body and shine.

We do not live in the Frisco area, we drive about 11/2 hr. to have Mansour cut our hair, it is worth the drive.
