No messing around, this is all you'll ever need in a gym!
Great personal trainers who actually know what they are doing, very clean, and so many weights and machines so you NEVER have to wait your turn to lift! And oh yea...free classes!
They have a parking garage so that is never an issue!
And the front desk is very helpful if I ever have any questions.
Coming from someone who has been in gyms his whole life, I highly recommend it!
Clean Gym- Great Service!.
After reading these reviews- I couldn't believe all of the negative things said about MY gym!
I have been a member since the doors opened and I have seen all the improvements Diesel has gone through.
The staff knows each member by name and it shows they really care!
The gym gets dirty- because members are forgetting their water bottles or drop trash- but as I workout I see Diesel staff walk through and clean up the floor. I always clean up after myself and use the cleaning stations they offer for the members!
BUT if there is ever an issue, I just grab the staff and tell them what I saw and they take care of it!
I mean even the cleaning staff knows the member's names. Kennedy is the main one and even though he is quite the talker, he is very nice and always walking the gym to straighten up.
keep up the good work Diesel!
Gross gym conditions and shady business.
So, I joined this gym last year thinking I would use it more than my YMCA membership since it was a little closer to my house.
The gym is unclean, unsafe, and outdated. It has a smell in there that in nauseating and there are no towels, no water fountains and the staff was not friendly.
Let me be clear: It is a $100 or more cancellation fee, not only that, if you don't cancel within the year to the exact date you will be charged again. Example: You sign up January, 1 2010 you have to cancel on or before December 1 2011 in order for them not to begin recharging you and start their shady cycle all over again.
Not only were they not explicit with the shady gym practices i.e.: the only way you can cancel is via e-mail or through a PO box, but when I actually talked to Ray the GM of the club, he tried to explain to me how gyms were run and how he is trying to run a business. I understand that concept, but normal businesses allow people to speak one on and one and carry a friendly and approachable customer service environment. I have worked for Fortune 500 companies and customer service and treating people right is always key. Use good judgment being one of the only rules in customer service. I feel like exceptions can and are always made and there should be exceptions made for people who don't like the gym, the environment, lose their job, move etc., without having to pay a fee. The GM told me any of the circumstances- the member still had to pay a fee.
I would most definitely NOT recommend this gym. If you are looking for a gym, the YMCA downtown or Town North location are great and they are nice and customer service oriented.
If you do end up at this gym, be weary of the shady business practices, the lack of customer service, the unclean equipment, and the lack of a personal touch meaning you have to mail or email any sort of complaint, compliment, cancellation or any sort of issue.
Ive been a member since they opened and have had nothing but a great experience and they continue to get
better with their recent remodel and new staff! Man these guys are the best if your looking for a "real" workout gym with a private gym feel! Ive been a member of alot of gyms and believe me this is a gym you can call home! Unfortunately for me I transferred out of state last month but they made it super easy and convenient for me to cancel! THANKS DIESEL. .rock on!!
Dirty Gym, shady business practices..
Got pretty screwed with this place as far as billing goes. Double invoices, overcharging, and when I tried to cancel they invoiced me for an extra month and tried to get me to pay a $100 fee on top of that.
The contract states that if you move (they knew I moved out of state) it's a $50 cancellation fee, as soon as I asked for a copy of my signed contract their words quickly changed.
They do not have a towel service, and do not even have drinking fountains.. be prepared to buy a water out of the vending machine or fill up your bottle with tap water in the dirty bathrooms.
There is a cool spa but it is hardly ever in service, from what I saw about 20% of the time.
Best gym in Dallas!. I love my new gym! They are located conveniently in the heart of uptown. I came across them and they offered to let me come work out for free. I am already a member some where else but thought I would give it a try. I am so happy I did! This is the best gym I have been to in a long time! They have everything you need from great classes (kick boxing= the best work out class i have ever been to), basketball court, pool, steam room, sauna, hot yoga, great personal trainers, a running track, full weight and cardio rooms, great music... none of the other gyms I have been to have all of this without being too crowded. The people who work there are awesome and I think the best trainers in Dallas. Although everyone who works there is so friendly this gym isn't about socializing this is for people who really want to lose weight! I am excited again about getting back in the gym!
