Absolutely Love This Place!!!!!!!! – Absolutely love this place!!!! Their customer service is the best of any other pet store I have shopped at. The employees here have always bent over backwards to assist me with any questions that I have had. They also have the best selection of natural type animal foods in town. You couldn"t pay me to shop anywhere else! :)
Great customer service – I went there to buy some dog food for the dog I would be getting. I told them what type dog I was looking for and that i wanted the best food at the best price. They helped me for about an hour while I was trying to decide which to get. I was not pressured in any manner. I asked about leashes and they told me that shelters would give leashes with the adoption. They were correct. I will recommend them to everyone.
Worst customer service – Don't shop here, period. The manager is a complete idiot with no customer service skills or even people skills. I bought an $8 pet food bowl and some other items, and when I got home and went to take it out of my car, the ceramic bowl had broken in half. No big deal, but I assumed that I could swap it out without issue. I went back, and the first thing the cashier asked me was "well, when did it break? Did you break it?" (I thought "yes, this is my schtick. I break pet food bowls and return them"). I explained what had happened, and the manager then jumped in (with her somewhat lacking social skills) and proceeded to accuse me of breaking the bowl, that they had no responsibility to replace the bowl since "I walked out of their store with an intact bowl." Now, I understand this reasoning when applied to major purchases. But this was an $8 ceramic bowl! How many of these do you think their stock boys break on a regular basis?! The manager refused to let me even credit the price of the bowl towards a larger ($50) purchase. Needless to say, it was beyond ridiculous. Not just the policy, which I disagree with from a customer service standpoint, but also the way she chose to communicate it to me. The manager sat back in a chair in her "office" and just shouted to me the whole time. So, I asked the cashier if she would mind if I threw the bowl away in their trashcan or if I should take it home to my trashcan. I'll be shopping at Petco from now on.
