The Scene – Lemons, tomato and broccoli line up like jewels in front of the wood-burning oven, the restaurant's showpiece. Guests in the whitewashed dining room can watch the culinary theater. Roman arches with gauzy curtains cocoon guests, and a toy version of a Ferrari clings to a back wall. – – The Food – A display of various antipasti greets visitors; prosciutto, broccolini and steamed artichokes with lemon. A carpaccio is tissue-thin slices of filet mignon, "cooked" with lemon juice and topped with onions, shaved Parmesan and olive oil. Scampi alle Fiamme is jumbo…
Overpriced for What You Get

I consider myself somewhat of an Italian food connoisseur. That being said, I have fairly high standards for Italian restaurants. I've only been to Ferrari's once, but I doubt I will go again. Not because I had a bad experience, just because I would rather try out new places or revisit old favorites than pay too much for average tasting food. Ferrari's tries really hard to be upscale and authentic. And as far as the decor and ambience goes, they are successful in that goal. The menu, however, is lacking in variety. There were not very many pasta dishes to choose from and certainly not any healthy options on that portion of the menu. I ordered the ravioli, which was rich but lacking in flavor. My date had the lasagna and I kid you not, it tasted like Chef Boyardee (what? I ate a lot of Spaghetti O's in college...). I don't mind average tasting Italian food, but at Ferrari's prices, it's just not acceptable.
- Pros: The service was great!
- Cons: Food is not worth the price.

I like to try a new restaurant at least one a month. When I was searching which restaurant go for my friend b-day, Ferrari's just shoed up on my browser, I read the info and caught my attention (menu, prices and pictures)so I called and made the reservation. They were very friendly over the phone, I loved this.
Once we got there, our table were ready, we didn't have to wait for the rest in order to be seated. From the owner to the waiter and bus boys... all the personnel were even friendly in person. Food was amazing, they brought a focaccia bread to start while the rest of my guest show up. I'm a carpaccio lover, this one was one of the best that i've try in Dallas. I split a veal cannelloni with my friend in order to try my friends dishes, Pollo Valdostana and the Chilean Sea Bass, everything was delicious.
