It must have been better six or seven years ago. That's a shame. Nothing is prepared fresh. Not at all "authentic". I had dinner here while visiting a relative. We should have gone to Sonic--at least it's cheap. This place makes Olive Garden seem like Babbo in comparison.

Great date place!. I am always looking for new and unusual places to go on dates with my boyfriend. We try to avoid chain restaurants. Salerno's is great because its family owned and has been around for a long time. Their food is excellent. They have a great bar area. There is a lot of dark woods and dim lighting. Dress can be casual to business casual. Its a homey, mismatched dinnerware sort of place. I would recommend it to anyone.

Delightful and Delicious. Yesterday was my first time to go to Salerno's. Word of my mouth is how I heard of this wonderful authentic Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was nice, cozy and romantic. You can eat inexpensively there or spend a lot. YOU CHOOSE! The wonderful thing is you can't go wrong. I had the manicotti and my date had the canneloni. The dishes drencedin alfredo was bubbling as it was delivered to our table We had water with lemon and our bill was less than $20! The food was magnificent. The salads were awesome (not some bagged stuff). Very tasty. I am a "ranch dressing" fan, but their house italian is to die for! Be sure to indulge in the hot garlic bread with olive oil dipping sauce. I am glad to have finally found a GREAT place to eat italian food. It is so tasty and full of flavor. I am already planning my next visit back. Way to go Salerno's. Kudo's to you!

Editorial Review. For Southern and Continental flavors such as pizza, steaks and seafood come in to Salerno's Steakhouse.

Best Italian, No wait, Artichoke is fantastic!. Salernos, tucked away in the quaint back corner just off of 2499 in Flower Mound isn't obvious to see, which is perfect. The good news is there is plenty of seating, it's not commercialized, like Olive Garden so I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. They have a delightfully stuffed,baked Artichoke Lucia...first artichoke I ever had and now I am hooked! The house salad is simple but the house itialian dressing makes it just perfect! The Pecan Chicken is light with a slight nutty flavor and delightful orange sauce over pasta! Service is always good and the wine list is fantastic, my only complaint is the smoke can drift and can be a problem in the man dining area just off the bar. Be sure and ask to be seated in the back room to avoide the smoke! I rate Salernos of Flower Mound a 9! Best kept secret of Flower Mound dining!

Fine Italian Dining. Great menu and selection. Traditional Italian food. All salad dressing made from scratch. Great place to take a date. A little over priced but definately left satisfied. The portions are definately large. The lighting was a little to dim for me.
