Nice people can succeed
by No2son at Citysearch
I read some of the reviews, and they must be joking--but if it causes pain to Mr. Ulrich, nobody is laughing. I have known him for at least 10 years, and always find him being courteous, solicitous and honest in dealing with customers. I don't mean just me, I mean other people in the store.
I cannot imagine the situation that Sarah3366 describes. Terry would immediately repair anything he did that was not perfect. I think there's more to this story. If you want to meet a perfectly honest, engaging gentleman and someone who really, really knows the jewelry market, go and see him. He is a prince.
WORST EXPERIENCE. NEVER GOING BACK.

I went to ask for advice on resizing an antique ring my mom had given me that was too small. After telling me that it would be impossible to re-size because the band was too small and too thin, he starts to put pressure on it using a metal rod. He broke the band that he had NOTICED was thin and worn down and hand it to me and said "Well, maybe it will fit you now." He never offered to fix it, never even apologized. Mr. Ulrich is rude, inconsiderate and completely unwilling to help unless you are spending money.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I am never going back and I encourage everyone else not to also.
